well, the fact of the matter is that you have the ability to work and take on responsibilities that she just can't. when she's home she isn't relaxing; she has to take care of her kids (which is like another full time job).

im glad she has a job that allows her to be a mother as well.

you're young and should just suck it up. if its really bad, quit. find another job. after all, you probably have little to no real responsibilities...

i wonder why the father isn't sharing responsibility for the children.

Hey she had kids with the bum.

If you marry an ass its your responsibility not the rest of the worlds.

Did you go to college?

I'm not going to read through your entire thread but your rant is pretty weak. You complain because she calls in to work. Guess what, YOU CAN CALL IN TOO! Pretty neat huh?

you should read what you wrote and you'll know why he asked if you're in college...

you have no sense of the real world if you really believe what you've written...

Well in my case, her husband has a higher paying job, so she's always the one who ends up calling in. There have been several other call-ins over the past year. But she gets away with it. You can bet my ass would get reemed out if I called out anywhere near as much as she has.
yeh, not fair.

too bad her husband didn't make enough so she could stay home with the kids.

Im sure he does...but just not up to their 'standards'. Oh...HOW are we going to pay for our 2 Lexus' and that pool?? I guess we both have to work!!

I make 65k and my wife stays home with our son and we live in CA!!!

yes I drive a beat up 95 mazda pickup...but hey...I KNOW whose raising my kid!

I'm soooo torn on my response to you.
On one hand, I agree wholeheartedly, that kids today get the short end of the stick because they do not have a parent with them at home all day.
On the other hand, do we really need regulation by the government that tells us whether or not we can have children?

*pulls hair out and screams*

To: TICK.....try purchasing a decent 4 bedroom house in New England on a single income. Yup, you guessed it, if you are not a Surgeon or a Corporate lawyer, forget it.
I have a modest 4 bedroom home and my house taxes alone are in the $6500 area.

To: All with no kids......It is very hard to empathize with those who have them and their needs to care for kids when they are ill. Trust me someday you WILL understand even if it is a niece or a nephew that you are watching over.

We all get reamed on taxes. Sorry it is the truth. Single, married whatever and to you singles pissin and moaning about the taxes. Wait til you have kids and then you will think that taxes were like a gift compared to the cost of children and the "costs" that come with them.
Dave

Except that it's a choice for you to have children (assuming they weren't "accidents").
Taxes, are most certainly not voluntary.

I would try my hardest to get her fired.
Why would you even agree to picking up any hours for her?
