I guess people in the ghetto never learn to grow up

I thought it was crazy until I started seeing it every day here. The sad part is, it's usually coming from a ridiculous-looking Buicks with big rims.

you dont need to be from the ghetto to blast music. you just have to be moronic and inconsiderate. its fine on the highway, but tone it down when ur going through residential neighborhoods. im tired of car alarms going off cuz someone has their bass and volume set on max

blacks, and white kids trying to be black

i see the same guy every day when i go pick up my kids after work. mercedes (have no idea what kind) with a slammin system. and playing classical music louder than fire engine sirens. i hear people blasting country, rock and pretty much every type of music you can play. age or music type doesnt really play a part in this debate as far as im cconcerned

I 25 and I "blast" my music all the time, with a subwoofer and all those goodies.

However, I turn it down at stop lights, in parking lots, and in neighborhoods.

I don't want people to know what I've got in the trunk.

I'm the same way on all points. Only time I blast when I'm at a stoplight is when someone pulls aside me and I can no longer hear my music. I then turn mine up louder than theirs so I can hear it again.

turn down your alarm sensitivity so my engine doesnt set it off then. my god, i have a stock dodge truck with a 318 in it, not a full blown hemi. no reason it should trigger alarms.

to clarify:
1. loud music is great
2. assaulting people with loud music is not great
3. when i observe someone being a retard with a stereo, it's usually the unemployed coolio's and emenem's of this world.

Where did I single out blacks? Asians, mexicans, and caucasians live in the ghetto too.

I listen to music a little bit loud (what's loud to me might be louder to someone else, I have hearing issues (not from the music, but that's another story)), but I don't put my windows down. For example, when I have to put my window down for whatever reason, I turn my music down to a whisper. I want to listen to my music and get into a good mood listening to it, but that doesn't mean everyone around me does.

Dang I'm 22 and I hate loud music...I used to listen to it but when I learned in physics and later on when I studied the cochlea what it does...I quit it and now can't stand anything very loud or very bassy..

QFT.

WTF?!

Hate to break it to ya racists, but Joe White American was putting 6x9's and stereo 'boosters' in their camaros long before hip hop and rap.

I swear people are either blind or simply jealous.

I blast my radio. I listen to it at the max comfortable levels one could really. I don't try to pull 140db as I roll through a neighborhood at 2am. You could probably hear it in your front yard, but not inside your house.

At lights I turn it down. The road noise is gone, no need to be so loud. In parking lots I turn it down, I should be able to hear if someone needs me too.

I don't listen to rap or hip hop mainly. Right now I am listening to a lot of bands like DMB, Mat Kearney, Jack Johnson and the like.
