Hello, she doesn't have a music library. All the music she owns are on CDs, she isn't ripping anything, to my knowledge she doesn't listen to music on the computer at ALL.

hehe my brother was like that... "fvck starbucks... fvck apple.... screw that trendy corporate crap....".... so, on christmas, i gave him a brand new ipod mini and a starbucks giftcard.... now, he's like "yeah, i was pretty damn gay.... ipod rules and so does starbucks coffee"

It's not her money, it's my dad's money.. We used to not have exactly 'a lot of money' when I grew up but now that we do have money, I've noticed she has changed drastically in her attitude towards money... This may seem irrelevant but she beginning to make excuses for purchasing things with reasoning like 'whats money for if you don't spend it?' and other crap like that. It's really disturbing to see the once frugal mother of mine change like this. I grew up my whole life learning to be frugal, to buy what you needed and that excess is bad etc... but now she has been acting otherwise, almost hypocritically and it's extremely frustrating. BTW, I'm not the one who noticed this, it was my sister who did, I just came to the realization of it, thats all.
You've already proven how limited your knowledge actually is. Your mom is content with her decisions, she obviously know a lot more than you do, so back off and let her do what she wants.

In my book, iTunes and aol are the same thing, both worthless POS excuses for software. You say it isn't going to harm her, couldn't the same thing be said about aol? Ya know what happened when I tried to get rid of her aol? She said she'd rather DIE than live with out her aol. It's like friggen dog who found a bone and when you try to take it away, that sweet puppy becomes a vicious creature.

last time i checked, not only is it a free country, but itunes is also a free download.

This is where you're incorrect and are a conformist douche (atleast conforming with the losers of this thread/forum). You see I've always hated apple, even when I had no idea there was a following for people who hated apple. I try my best to NOT hate mainstream things, infact I like it at first and then form my opinion as to whether or not I hate it. If it's from apple, I will automatically hate it because of who they are and what they represent. After all these years, apple still hasn't changed, I've had a sour taste from dealing with apple and everytime I try to embrace them, it gets more and more awful tasting, making me never want to come back again. Let me put it to you this way, I like Kelly Clarkson, I don't see how that could get any more mainstream than that.
