True. It's only iTunes. The only bad thing about it is having to manually disable Quicktime on startup after you install it...

its a program. get over it. its not going to cause harm to anyone, including you or her, so it means nothing. its not spyware riddled, so who cares. if you cared about your mum you'd get rid of AOL.. itunes is not the problem ;)

In my book, iTunes and aol are the same thing, both worthless POS excuses for software. You say it isn't going to harm her, couldn't the same thing be said about aol? Ya know what happened when I tried to get rid of her aol? She said she'd rather DIE than live with out her aol. It's like friggen dog who found a bone and when you try to take it away, that sweet puppy becomes a vicious creature.

omg i totally see your point!!! quick, call a preist!!!

Is that a misspelling of the word 'priest'?

Holy cow this goku character made some other retarded thread about technology and on many accounts displayed his lack of computer knowledge.

Then he comes around and yet again makes another thread which does little more than to proclaim how dense he is.

Hey goku, seriously dude, stop while you are ahead - well not ahead so much as not too terribly far behind. You have no understanding of computers, technology, and now applications. Furthermore who in the hell are you to critique your mother if she chooses to use iTunes? Like it or not, iTunes is a very good application for doing what it does. For instance I do not own an iPod, and have no desire to own one, however as of right now iTunes is the best program I know of to organize my music library.

Until you develop some critical thinking skills and able to think outside of your narrow mode of though, you really should just stop posting.

Haha, her mother seems to understand some applications better than he does.

I'm sorry, but you're wrong on almost every point you make. It'd be moot to try to correct everything you say...

you would seriously format her computer if she bought a song? you got issues. it's her money, and if she wants to buy music, let her. someone has to, and its not really a big deal.

It's not her money, it's my dad's money.. We used to not have exactly 'a lot of money' when I grew up but now that we do have money, I've noticed she has changed drastically in her attitude towards money... This may seem irrelevant but she beginning to make excuses for purchasing things with reasoning like 'whats money for if you don't spend it?' and other crap like that. It's really disturbing to see the once frugal mother of mine change like this. I grew up my whole life learning to be frugal, to buy what you needed and that excess is bad etc... but now she has been acting otherwise, almost hypocritically and it's extremely frustrating. BTW, I'm not the one who noticed this, it was my sister who did, I just came to the realization of it, thats all.

Get with PAB and write a letter to her. Just quit posting.

This thread was a disaster for goku.

Not only has he willingly admitted to liking Kelly Clarkson, but he as admitted to desiring control over everyone around him.

In addition, even his mom is standing up to his arrogant rampage, and he has the cohones to threaten to wipe her machine.

Talk about a beautiful child?..

P.S. Realize Goku, that no one bad-mouthed your mom expect you, and you did it repeatedly.

Munch on that a while why don?t you?

Like you're any better.

I have just come to the realization of something, something I believe it would have taken forever for any of you worthless morons to figure out. All the worthwhile posters on this forum don't participate in threads such as this.

I make a thread like this and you can see the good and bad things about the forums of anandtech; the bad are the people who post in this thread solely to rag on the OP and not actually post anything of use and the good is the exact inversion of this, everyone who does NOT participate in this thread are whats good about this forum. I think i'd be awesome if the moderators PERMAbanned everybody who posted in this thread, even me. At least I'd know I did something good for this forum that all the good posters on this forum should hopefully never forget. I'm willing to sacrifice anything of any meaning to me, so long as I know I it was of benefit to everyone BUT me.

If it were purchases of $4000 a week or luxury cars or strippers and other financially dangerous things I'd understand your need to interneve, but itunes with songs @ $0.99, songs which he hasn't even bought any of yet?

I have come to the conclusion that your comparative reasonign skills are qutie wacky.

wow.....what a logical thought.....for such an illogical thread...which if I recall correctly, was started by you.:)

The thign is, many people did post beneficial things and either you are too ignorant to see that or simply did not comprehend what they meant.

Well, that would be the first "good" thing you've ever done here. Something even better would be logging off and never coming back.

Seriously though, do you expect people to have "quality" input on such a moronically childish topic like this? If you honestly believed you would receive anything but critical posts in a thread like this then you havn't been paying attention at all.
This is a topic high school wannabe geeks talk about at their lunchtable in school.

Just because it isn't large amount, doesn't mean it isn't 'waste'. Things add up in case you didn't notice.. This is the dad that scorned me for purchasing softdrinks when we ate out or made a big fscking deal about using too much toilet paper etc..

either way, I don't want to delve into your personal life more than you want me to (hoenstly I don'tgive a damn) so that is irrelevant.

Unless she is spending $100 a day on itunes, that point is m00t.
