Give it up for VIRGIN PRIDE!!!

I wait for a few reseaons: 1) my religion says I should, 2) I have that much respect for the person I'll marry, and 3) it's safer.

I think i'm pretty much in the same situation as you. My BF is LD as well (but it wasn't always that way) and we are both waiting til marriage. For him it's religious and moral reasons and for myself it's just moral and i'm totally not ready to deal with a pregnancy or something worse if it should happen. It's hard sometimes because we really do love each other but because we love each other that much we are also willing to wait as respect for each other as well. Anyways, just wanted to show you that you are not alone! Sometimes I feel like i'm the last person with the "wait til marriage" mentality as well hehe. Oh well, I think that the guy i'm waiting for is worth the wait so i dont' really have problems with it.

As for long distance relationships working out, i'm 22, and it's been ok so far. It's hard, but it's been ok. A lot of people tell us LD doenst' work but it just makes us more determined to show them wrong. And I have faith that if we can get through this part of our relationship, what else couldn't we tackle?

here is my take on the issue.

There are 2 reasons for being a virgin:

1. You can't get any @ss cause you got no game, or too broke to get a hooker
2. By choice, i.e., abstinence.

Truthfully, I don't understand the whole abstinence thing. The only logical reasons I can come up with to justify abstinence are:

1. Fear of pregnancy

For this I have to say, "hello, wake up... you know there are things like condoms, and birth control"

2. Religion

No comment. I hate the concept of organized religion as I beleive it is a fraud

3. Other moral issues, i.e., "I want to fall in love first"

This is an issue of luck. Finding someone you can potentially fall in love in with is often times luck. Then when you "fall in love" you can hump like bunnies.

In the mean time it makes no sense for you to bitch about the choice you made given the restrictions you put on yourself. You sound like a muslim in the middle of Ramadam bitching that he can't eat food while everyone else is hitting up all the "all you can eats"

BTW, I am not a virgin and have been in a monogamous relationship for 2 years, 9 months.

Despite the fact that your post is nearly unreadable I'll try to reply here. I'll put it succinctly.

I really don't care how old you are. The simple fact that your LDR led to marriage is enough to show your personal example has little relevancy here. Second, your "out of line" comments. Thanks for your concern, but I'll say what I think regardless of you what think is appropriate. But thanks for telling me so, I'll file it away under "who cares".

Nobody here is stupid enough to say "the love of my life must exist within city boundaries". If you're going to argue something that I say, can you at least make it relevant? Yeah, we accept your apology.

The solution to your problem is simple!

Only get boyfriends with small weenies!

Then when you look at your naked boyfriend, you won't feel like you're missing out on much by not having sex.

I think it's funny that for some people sex is just something that they do. They don't think about it. They wouldn't know life without it. It's just very cut and dry: Life sucks without sex.

For other people it is much more complicated. Things aren't cut and dry because of religion or personal inhibitions or other factors.

I think it's important that people from both groups don't judge each other.

I know this has nothing to do with the thread really, but after reading the posts just wanted to make sure that was said.

Yea, the fact that they can't get laid.
So they cover it up with some excuse.

Save yourself for marriage? BS. ALL teenage and early 20 males WANT TO GET LAID.
Its just a matter if they CAN OR NOT.

<< I'm just so sick of feeling left out of this wonderful world of...sex, I guess. >>

We've all felt like that at one time or another. Think of sex like this: it's the only pleasure (and tremendous pleasure at that) in the world that is "free". It is nature's way of keeping humanity alive. It is a good thing. Marriage? At one point in history it didn't exist. Did everybody stay celebate? I think people are inherently monogomous, so I say find yourself a man and have as much sex as possible.

Virginity isn't a reward, all it says is that you have forcefully avoided doing something that you might end up enjoying. Now you are complaining about it, and why? You are scared of getting pregnant even though millions of people have responsible sex every day without getting pregnant.

But when you say virginity, what are you referring to? Do you practice oral sex? What about anal? www.technicalvirgin.com. You can get your fix without jeopordizing your virginity.

Maybe you need to start practicing responsible sex before 'feeling left out' consumes all your free time and starts to affect other parts of your life. Thats just a suggestion though...

Dude, that's not true! :disgust: Do you think that you necessarily and accurately represent the opinions of ALL males ages 13-29?? :|

Do we all want to? Of course!

Of course there are also times when I want to kill people, blow things up, and generally make myself a deadly threat to certain people. Do I? No.

Just because somebody has a desire to do something does not mean they do, nor that they should.

Viper, Killing people != Having sex. I don't think you should group an act which causes enjoyment with an act which terminates a persons life. Yes, I get your example that we have to practice some sort of resistance to our wants, but since the sex one doesn't hurt anyone, I don't think it is a biggy on that list.

Dude, thats so true, you're just in denial, as I stated before. Your sex drive kicks in at ~13, you really have no choice in the matter. If you don't want to get laid(with a girl), then your gay and need to come to grips with yourself, not hard to understand.

Dude, that's sweet, dude! (bleh, enough with the 'dude's)

Dude Viper, from the sounds of it, you may get lucky your next 10 day visit out to see her ;) Just kidding. Stay strong. I've only slept with one person in my life. I've been with her for 5 years now, and I am marrying her in June. I am very happy that she is my only. It is a very good way of respecting her and my love for her.

Oh PLEASE son, don't make such poor analogies, you insult yourself and this thread.

Killing people (your own species) is not an instinct.
Your body TELLS you to reproduce.

And try not to retort with such skewed logic.

I've read this thread as it's ongoing and am blushing so hard my face feels like it's on fire. I'm no prude and enjoy a good flirt but I cannot believe the number of you who would share such personal details of your lives so openly.

The most intimate moments of life, imho should be closely held to one's heart.. not cheapened by being thrown out into the world to be viwed by just anyone.Protect your privacy, it's deaer than you may think !

Killing not an instinct? Really? How do you explain 'Survival of the Fittest'? Breading rights are won explicitly on this. Threats are resolved by this. Face it, as much as we want to call ourselves 'civilized', we all still posess the inner most basic instincts that all animals have. What sets us apart is we have the ability to control them, usually.

It is not human instinct to kill your own, or your own species.
If you can show me different, be my guest.
