Agree with me or not, I'm sure Batman and Spiderman would get negative reviews too if they included all the BS Transformers did.
Fortunately, Batman has an awesome director, actors and writers.
The Spiderman trilogy is a festering pile of shit as it has none of the above.
Spiderman 1 and 2 are lightyears ahead of Transformers. I don't see how anyone could diss Spiderman 1, they basically set the standard for comic hero movies.

I loved it. I didn't go in expecting much (see: Bay) but I was pleasantly surprised. Some of the plot was thin at best but I thought the movie was I thought it would be. CGI Action scenes with an average plot. I own the movie, have watched it many times and I enjoy every time.
People can B about how bad it is all they want, but it raked in 319.22 Million in box officer sales. That makes it #19 over all. A lot of times I think people just complain to hear their own selves talk. Hippies.
That's the problem with most movies today. Most directors like Bay just want to make some quick easy $$$. They don't care about anything else. They don't care about or respect the original story lines. They don't care to make an actual good film. They don't understand that you could steal the name of a household legend, stay true to the roots AND still make decent money off of it...Spiderman, Batman, X-men, and Iron Man are evidence that GOOD FILMS can be made out of comics while still making decent $$$...The LOTR trilogy is the perfect example as it raked in
~30 BILLION worldwide combined taking #2, #8, and #15 on the all-time list while
staying faithful to the original books; they even managed to implement all elements of a "good" movie (action, adventure, romance, comedy, fantasy) and even won some friggin' Oscars.
There was nothing " especially " surprising about Transformers. Most of the action scenes we saw were already briefly revealed in the deceiving trailer making them "extended" trailer scenes. Count the total time of machine-to-machine action (which is what Transformers should really be about....not the crap Michael Bay forced down our throats) and you'll be sorely disappointed. 5 minutes out of 2 hours ain't a whole lot and I actually felt sorry for the guys that made the movie. They spent $150 million just to make those 5 minutes...
Anyhow, I enjoyed DIE HARD 4 much more than Transformers. DH4 was marketed as an action film and it stayed true to it's roots. Non-stop heartbeating action with some occasional funny lines by Willis. Finally a no nonsense action film I can
really enjoy.
