I was looking for job and checked federal jobs and i am not elegible because i didn't register for selective service. Anyone else didn't register for selective service?

Is our country not worth it? Many countries have mandatory service. Our country only says, hey, register for this, if we REALLY need you, you MAY OR MAY NOT be drafted. But that's all we're expecting from you.

Seems like a kick in the pants to America, if I must say.

You also won't be able to receive any government benefits later on in life should you need them.
 
tbh i dont understand why the govt doesnt auto-register you.

anyways, i doubt you're gonna find much sympathy here for doing something so dumb.

And I am not positive about this but, I do not think you will be able to get a security clearance either. So no working for a subcontractor on a job requiring one.




 
no sympathy from me. you might not be jailed, despite the fact that not registering is punishable by imprisonment, but you certainly shot yourself in the foot nonetheless. karma's a bitch.

That's a drag. Have you tried contacting the office of Selective Service and attempted to correct the issue? Surely there must be some recourse.
