Sucks that you didn't break all of your fingers.

Basically there is some front damage to the bumper and hood now. Plus I scraped up the bottom. I have crappy PIP insurance so how much will this cost out of my pocket, a grand? 2 grand?

PIP is for injuries. Your out of pocket cost should be whatever your deductible is.

Edit: Wait, you have no collision on a relatively new car? :Q

Edit2: Is that a Jetta?

I wouldnt tell PIP shit, just try and fix it on the QT. Some hammering, spray paint. I bet you could even find some local mom and pop garage to do the work for a few hundred bucks. As long as its drivable before you try and fix it that is.

Lol, did you get scared and hit the gas when you thought you saw Kimbo Slice in your rearview?

Humility from CasioTech. This is a first. Usually he's arguing how he's better than you at everything including breathing air, lol.

Sorry about your car though dude. It seems like a silly mistake, but I've done it too. Just got lucky and didn't have a wall in front of me.

Did you even hit the wall?

Without better pics it's hard to judge the damage, but it doesn't look too bad from the pic you posted.

#1 - Why was the car not in Reverse?
#2 - Do you normally Hole Shot out of your parking spot?

Anyone remember "unintended acceleration"? (Otherwise known as Driver Error. ) Almost put Audi out of Business....

CasioTech, first I get to laugh at you in the console gaming forum (nice how you just stopped posting in that thread... ran away with your tail between your legs I guess) and now I get to laugh at you here in off topic. Double win.

it doesn't look that bad, you didn't seem to damage the headlights.

you can find a bumper of the same color by submitting a request for one on one of the junkyard databases online, that'll link you to thousands of junkyards.
but that'll probably be unlikely, given that your car looks like a fairly new model
this would probably only cost you no more than $500.

On the other hand, you might have to go to the dealership to get a replacement bumper, then you'll get reamed.
But I wouldn't expect it to cost more than $1000-1500, unless you're looking for a really damn good paintjob.

Get a better digicam. I love how people get all the top dollar equipment, then take the most shitty pics w/ their cellphone.

The dangers of using the same foot for breaking and acceleration. Thankfully, that was not a cross walk with people crossing when this happened. I have two feet, so I use one for accelerating, one for breaking. Though on a stick, I use the same foot for breaking.

it's neither.

I'm thinking to head over to the dealer for an estimate today.

Looks like a Lexus IS, probably 350 from the wheels

I thought so too.

Same here, I thought it was a Lexus sedan even with crappy picture.

LOL @ OP, a late model Lexus and you only have PIP? Smart move...reaaaalll smart...NOT!

Talk about penny wise and pound foolish.

BTW, are you Asian? If you are, congrat. You just become the poster boy for the stereotype.

Dangers of using the same foot? I would presume that 99.9% of the world use the same foot to accelerate and brake (not break btw) whether its a stick or an automatic.

It is much more complicated for your brain if you use right foot to accelerate and left foot to brake., One false signal and you are in the same predicament as OP

Yeah, you're supposed to use the same foot for both.

This thread has to be shens... no one would be stupid enough to not carry collision on a late model Lexus.
