Good job, Bro. It takes patience waiting for the olders sometimes, but they have served their time and don't like it any better than the younguns.

We all need to show patience for the elderly, excpet when they are taking forever to get across the street before the light turns red again. Sometimes they need a little nudge, like honking the horn, swearing at them or giving them a little bump with your car so you can make it to the next stoplight on time.

Tiles;you negected to inquire if Crack Whore was worthy of any style points.

If she threw a hamburger at Good Dad; how many points would that have been?

The lady working the register told her it would be a second and said she would ring up the old ladies who had already ate. The girl that was waiting started flipping out cussing out the girl working the register. The girl did the right thing and rang up the grumpy one. Then one of the old ladies (they were at least 85) asked one of the other old ladies what was going on. The grumpy girl then started cussing out the old ladies. And I mean swearing up a storm.

The ladies looked like they were about to have a heart attack so I spoke up. I yelled at the grumpy chick. "you need to show some respect to the elderly!" The grumpy chick then started swearing at me telling me that the ladies were yelling at her. I told her that they hadn't said a word to her and that she needed to leave them alone. She said a few choice words to me and I got in her face. I told her to quiet down and watch her language. She cussed at me a few more times then I said. "Look, those ladies didnt say a word to you. I am though. If you want to yell at someone, yell at me. But you are just making yourself look stupid." Then she shut up and turned around. By this time everyone in the whole place had quieted down and was staring at me. Even the people working in the kitchen came out to watch. The grumpy chick got her food and left, staring at the floor the entire time. I apoligized to everyone for making a scene. As I was leaving 3 different people stopped me and told me I did the right thing. I really think the grumpy chick was either coked out or a crackhead...but she was way out of line.

In the context of the original post, yes! If the yelling bothered her so much, it may cause her to work even more slowly or even make mistakes. And, consequently, waiting behind that crackhead, I'd end up waiting longer.

For Pete's sake, it's freaking fast food!

because millions of years of evolution have programmed me to do just that

exaggerated respect for the elderly is mere cultural convention, something that hopefully can be gotten rid of as we move forward :)

I'm sorry, but the reasons why I should 'respect' the elderly (so often the most racist, sexist, homophobic among us) for no other reason than their age are not self-evident to me. Feel free to provide an explanation.

How about the elderly have paid their dues, contributed to society, and have many more years of experience than you.

Why is there a Denny's in Vegas? It's redundant! You always gamble when eating at Denny's!

WAITRESS: Here's your food, sir.

BOB: <Throwing imaginary dice> Come on... eggs?
