I can't see the point behind getting married nor having kids.

To go through college and only have 3 dates, not want to get married and not want to have sex until you're married (as if that makes a lick of sense), as well as want to go and get a master's degree to not start your life right away shows a weird need to distance yourself from women. Do you think that you can somehow start dating at 30 with no experience and not come across as some complete freak? You're going to scare the hell out of women when you take them out to dinner and all you can talk about is school and have no clue how to be intimate when they take you home (since you won't have a clue how to take a woman home). It's going to be a complete joke. People that wait for marraige don't shun the opposite sex like you do.

Well in case I have any problems, I 'll PM you for tips, because obviously your "da man" when it comes to these issues. ;)

yeap i think he is a troll myself.

I second that motion.

I am not a troll. Just because I do not have the same opinions as most others, that does not make me a troll.

What makes you a troll is not that you have different opinions, but you try to pass off your opinions as fact, are so deluded that you think you arent doing so even when its clearly pointed out to you, and while doing so, talk down to everyone that is calling you out for it, while sitting on your high horse with this disgusting holier than thou attitude.

You have not made a single post that does not reek of "I am better than most people", this one included.

To fvck and have people trophies as bragging rights.

Marriage to me seems like friendship + exclusive sex. Some may call it love, but I've never experienced anything other than a combination of friendship/attraction.

But seriously it's a way to pass part of yourself onto the next generation. To make improvements to yourself through your child. It also bring social support through love/companionship bonds.

I doubt anyone seriously would have kids so they can take care of them when they get old. Because if you didn't have kids and invested the money you would have spent on them in your 20s and so on, you'd be a multi-millionaire when you retire. Not that you can't do both, just saying.

Gatsby, it's not about opinions, and agreeing or disagreeing with you. It's how you post on the board, how you carry yourself on the board. Get a clue sherlock.

You are one of the few here on this thread to give me some logical answers.

I'm not reading 207 posts, nor the original post. I just want to say  to the OP.

Don't get married. Don't have kids.

:) 1. More females available to the other non-married guys. 2. You don't spread your genes.

The Linuxator are you an only child? Maybe your parents want you to have a bunch of little penguins to carry on the family name?

Also, good for you for staying chaste. There are too many scary diseases out there to go jumping into every pond you come across.

Here are some reasons you might want to consider:

Increased combined purchasing power
Taxes (if big gap)
Better health
Increased life expectancy (for men)
More home-cooked meals
Division of labor = more time
Your kids can work for you (for farms, etc.)
Your kids can support you through retirement
Not lonely
To love and be loved

Sounds logical from an economical point of view but then again economy isn't everything to me.

Thank God I am not the only child of my parents or I would have been in a bad situation. No my parents have more than enough kids to make as much penguins as possible for them ;) but then again it's my brothers's and sisters's
marriages that made me think 1000 times before even considering marriage. they all start with these perfect soul mates and end up with their worst enemies.
But hey who didn't know that. The only good example I had till now is my parent's relationship it's how you put it ideal, Dad has his rights Mom has hers they respect each other care for each other, I never saw them fighting and I mena never. When they get into an argument it's always one of them that takes an intiatvie towards the other and reach a cfair compromise for a better solution.

Nothing is wrong with your logic.

If more people thought like you, and spent their time wisely trying to improve themselves first instead of following society's push to get married and have kids as fast as possible, then this world would be a better place.

Post of the day

I'm kinda in your shoes right now too.

Truth be told, i am not looking for a gf, i guess mainly because i love being completely independant, & also since my last gf kinda wrecked my view of gfs...
That being said, while i may not be looking, i don't keep my eyes completely closed to possibilties either.

You are a clueless moron. That is perhaps the dumbest thing I've ever read in my life. Please ban yourself because you clearly don't know WTF you're talking about.

That's funny, I don't see anyone refuting my comment.

It is so outrageous, why would anyone waste their time refuting it?

Exactly.
