I can't see the point behind getting married nor having kids.

So you feel nothing when you see happy young couples? You don't envy them? Don't realize how crippled your life is?

Either way, I dont think there is anything wrong with your logic. I share a lot of similar line of thinking, except I am fine with premaritial sex and encourage all other forms of relationships. It just bugs me the sociey is pushing you get marry sooner or later regardless of who your partner is, and oftentimes marriage is about more mundane things like income level, education level and etc other than deep attraction towards each other.

Sorry if you've addressed this before, but have you ever had a girlfriend? I read the thread and noticed that you said you had a lot of girl friends, but have you ever been in a relationship with someone? I don't think that you can really know what kind of traits you will end up wanting in a woman until you date one and figure out what you like and don't like about her. So if you've never had a relationship and are basing this list off of anything other than one, I'm going to consider this list moot.

It's fine not to make marriage and kids a priority. Just realize, like many other people have said, that your opinions are almost certainly going to change one day.

I have gone on dates before as I said in one of my posts, and have alot of girls that are really very close to me, but maybe I didn't mention this before but I
don't have to date a girl to know much about her, and the girls that I have seen and talked to before really never impressed me or seemed lacking in one areas or another, and there is an important condition here, the girl that I want to be with must have a solid intrest in computers and most of the girls that I have met really look at computers as something boring and not intresting at all, which kind of muted my intrest in most of them, and the girls that I met and had intrests in computers really didn't have much else going for them , or they had close to no personality in them, and the list keeps going and I meet more girls and each had a major disagreement with me about things that I think are important. Also alot of the girs that I went out with were not cool with me being against pre-marital sex and didn't want to find out more about me the just drew the line at sex, and since I didn't cross that line they pretty much ended the relationship.

this joy people get out of having babies and being stuck with another person for the rest of their lives. Things can turn out to be good and that person might become your soul mate, well that's all good, but what if things go bad, and that person becomes your enemy like most of the relationships I see aroud me. Wow children can bring joy to you, but that's not all of the cases that I have seen

I have explained it to my parents over and over, I have no girl in mind I never did and I hope I never will, I am waiting for graduation and then I'll shift things aaround from pushing my self hard to focusing on making myself happy and get all of what i deprived myself from before(I have 18 credit hours each semester and I have hard job but good paying though ) I might also go for a masters degree too. But really I love being alone knowing that I have myself is just more than entertainment for me (yes I love myself that much but I am not selfish ,I do help alot of ppl out too @ college and my neighberhood...family etc)

What's wrong with my logic ? I just want to live, and be alone and my parents don't understand that, I have lots of friends and I am really a normal guy, but it's just as I was growing up I lived for a long period of time on my own and I loved it and loved being responsible for myself.
I would appreciate input from you married guys out there and fathers too, according to what you have read so far and from your own experience why should I get married ?

I will skip the 100+ post on this subject and get to the point.

"The point"?, fvck marriage. That is irrelevant at this time. You are entitled to your "time alone" Good for you. And marriage, is a choice based entirely on religion, or your desire to obtain a nice tax refund.

Besides that, if you're some emo/retard who can't comprehend the human existance outside of the world from your "ipod/picture phone/blog/insertanytechformofcommunication". Then you are given the blessing of the human race for not procreating.

You are on this planet to:

1. Learn something.

2. Contribute something that you have learned, to the others inhabiting this planet.

3. Procreate. And in that act, hope that your offspring will be able to contribute something as well.

If you are incapable of doing these 3 things, then you are nothing more than a "consumer", and you are completely worthless to the human race as a whole.

We don't need you.

Why does she need to be into computers, maybe she could bring something else to your life. Unless ofcourse you prefer to be with a female clone of yourself. How can she be humble and "be highly educated, and very very open minded and always seeking to know more" and "be very independent and not be influencd easy by other's opinions INCLUDING mine." that seems to be a contradiction to me.

There are lots of those women around, you could ask yourself what they might wanted from a relationship and if you could bring that.

not to pick on your post or anything, but this whole idea of being beneficial to the society is quite subjective.

There are many sick or senile people who cannot contribute jacksh!t to the society, but we still need them. They all have equal value as human beings. You may argue they dont have a choice due to lack of their genetic abilities, but my point is saying you dont need a human being just because he or she doesnt contribute seems a bit extreme.

Even though you're ont actively looking for a SO, maybe you're not spending enough time in places where you'd find a girl you really liked? I know some girls who are interested in computers (but I do agree that most seem to not be interested), and I know girls who want to wait until marriage to have sex. Granted, I don't think I know any girls who would fit into both categories. I'm confident that you'll find someone you click with someday, but until you do, keep enjoying life. Even though it's unusual, I think it's healthy to not constantly be on the lookout for a future SO and to concentrate on yourself until you meet someone that you like.

I wouldn't be surprised if in a few years you found someone you wanted to spend the rest of your life with and perhaps even want to have a kid or two.

It's not that I am inexperienced, it's just that I am unsatesfied with what I found till now, so I got to either look harder or just quit searching, I am kind of going in between those 2 options.

When I said seek help, I wasn't talking about from me, or from anyone else you might meet on the internet, I meant professional help.

You claim not to be gay, but you have no intention of even trying to have physical contact with a woman. You claim that you don't believe in pre marital sex, and in the same breath say you see no reason to get married. Now I've known quite a few people who also say they aren't believers of pre marital sex, however all of them fought the temptation, and some even gave into it.

Have you I wonder? You've been in college for at least 2 years, right? During that time, how many dates have you gone on? How many times have you made out with a woman?

What fear ??
seek help ?? I am living a perfectly nice life I don't see what you could help with ?

Since I started college I had about three dates they went ok, but no results.

I would definately get married, but not have kids. My parents were a little shocked as well when I told them. The thing is, I feel a little bad because I'm an only child and there's no other siblings to give my parents some grandchildren, so they're going to have to go without I guess. I really don't want to have kids, not because I'm extremely sexually active, but simply because I just don't want kids, and I agree with what you said originally about not wanting another person stuck with you. If you have a kid, it's all over buddy, you're stuck for life.

It's good to see someone not labeling me gay.

Just because you don't want kids, doesn't mean that your gay... people are retarded.

When you get tired of being totally responsible for your own mistakes, you'll see the wisdom in having someone else to blame.

I never said no, but how can I put this, whenver the thought comes to mind I can think of half a dozen things that would be more entertaining for me.

No offense, but are you just insecure or fearful to be around girls?
Obviously!! The OP needs to stop making excuses trying to rationalize said fear, and seek help asap.
