I'd like to believe he's just being an attention whoring troll but I think he's just one fucked-up kid. I remember he used to always post normal family complaining stuff (ie. his mom always comparing him to his female cousin and why he can't be like her). I think since he decided to not take that job in Phoenix, we've been seeing the slow nervous break-down of FBB.

Now that he's out of school and finished his intern, he decided that he didn't want to grow-up and take that job in Phoenix which appears would have been the best thing for him. Like a kid, he ran away but ended-up back at home where he spends his time jerking-off to porn and obsessing over women he's briefly met. A friend gives him pity sex and now he's more obsessed with finding more sex that he spends his time on Craigslist CE than trying to get out of his parents house and grow-up.

Sounds like his parents wanted a girl and were so disappointed that they showered him with no love or attention, literally turning FBB into a woman in a man's body. You would have thought that FBB would have learned in High School, College or thru friends that you don't sleep with a stuffed animal anymore or where women's clothes. He still acts like a six year old girl. Pretty sad and pathetic. Folks give him advice but he ignores it and continues his destructive pattern.

His future will be bleak and probably sadder til he eventually decides to seek professional help and gets on anxiety/depression meds.

They will use his behavior to help gauge what is socially acceptable. Even if he doesn't have any unusual powers on that particular sub-forum of the site. Even if he doesn't use his "magic mod voice". The degree will vary, but the effect will not just go away because you want it to.

AT chose to openly give him special status as a mod (and thus also unusual social status), and it would be silly to expect people to just ignore that. Particularly given the AT tradition of ... aggressively ... defending the mods.

The alternative would be the "secret police" system that AT used to have, where the identities of the mods are hidden.

When they came up with the lame idea of identifying the Mods, they also gave them the ability/right to post as regular members under their account that just so happens to say "Mod" under their user name.
If they are not doing something Modish, they are posting as regular members.
