Turn it in at Best Buy, for recycling. My local store pretty much takes anything electronic, no questions asked.

I recently turned in a Celeron 233 MHz computer, that had been gathering dust for far too long. Still had the stickers on the side of the case, including one that said it would never be outdated technology. The kid at the store (probably early 20's) was both amazed at how old it was, and amused at the claim by the manufacturer! ;)

You will be able to sell it to Arcade cabinet builders. They use CRT's in their cabs when either refurbishing an old arcade or building a MAME setup. Try a site like Arcade controls or something, those guys buy CRT's all the time just for that purpose.

I have nine old computers and thought your suggestion was a lifesaver instead of tossing them into the landfill. Then I checked their website and learned my state Best Buys are fuckheads for not participating.

That sucks. The one by me takes just about anything electronic/computer.

I recently found a 17" Apple Mac Studio Display CRT Monitor sitting on a curb. I brought it home, paired it with the Power Mac G4 I had just bought for $5 at a garage sale, added an Apple Pro Mouse I had laying around and an old Apple Wired Keyboard with Numeric Keypad (with a couple bad keys) and sold it at my garage sale last Saturday for $50 (I disclosed the bad keys).

The guy loved the old-school monitor.
