Obviously we now know 2 things.
1. YOu are like 9 years old
2. YOu are not old enough to remember the beginnings of Intel (ie P1 P2 P3)
Also stability is not based on CPU, if any other part of your hardware is a POS thenyour system is, Processors have a suprisingly low impact on stability.
Oh yes I am old enough to remember the beginnings of Intel. Have you seen anybody that is 9 year old that comes here and argues about Intel vs. AMD? I haven't.
Pentium 1 got quickly surpassed by K6 which was cheaper STRIKE ONE!!!
Pentium 2 also got surpassed by K6-2's which were also cheaperSTRIKE TWO!!!
Pentium 3 ALSO got surpassed by K6-3's which were cheaper and got owned when Athlons came out. STRIKE THREE!! Your out!!!!!
Of course k6's thru K6-3's were cheaper, they sucked. Until K7 came around AMD was mediocre along the lines of what transmeta is today.
Okay, so they were RELATIVELY good CPU's. However that does not solve one thing. The past doesn't matter now. AMD and Athlon64's are so good now that you can forget all history of Intel's successes.
Is there any more I need to say?

Temperature is directly scalable gururu. Thus your arguement is baseless. When the facts fail you, I see you try to play to assumption (flawed at that). Not a good trait for a scientist.
And Gururu, "LOL" is in fact a word.

Perhaps someone needs to get a dictionary and look up the definition of acronym, paying special attention to the second word in the definition.

Why, though would you take offense at someone else's mistake and let your emotional control be taken away from you. This would in of itself could imply an emotional attachment to their acquiesing to your viewpoint for some kind of validation. You can never answer illogic or emotionism with the like kind and taking offense merely pulls you into their world and answering on their terms. If you tell a person who is beating their head against the wall (in your opinion this is bad) to stop and show them (in your opinion a better way) and they refuse to stop then beating your head against the ground to show them they are wrong is pointless.
If an anomynous poster tells me I am an ignorant fool for enjoying AMD chips I can either call him a fool and play round robbin of the illogic and emotional tantrum or laugh and tell him maybe he/she is right and move on.
I said before enjoy the super fast computer you now have and think of me on my (XP2400 KM266) machine when you are multi-tasking and playing the latest games.

LOL is not a word. It is an abbreviation and arguably not an acronym. Try taking English again.

Wow. Just... wow.

Yes Mnarciso. LOL is an abbreviation, but being an abbreviation does not necessarily mandate it being a word, being an acronym (which it is as well) does. If Gururu want's to bicker over semantics he should at least be sure he is correct before he starts.

1. I am right. I've cited the definition of LOL and of Acronym, both provide indisputable evidence that I am right.

2. I know dozens of people using 64bit windows right now. But I don't consider it a very valid arguement, since not many people will buy A64 specifically to change to 64bit windows.
3. Temperature is indeed important. You can spend less on aftermarket cooling for a cooler running processor, A less power hungry processor will result in a slightly less costly power bill, Processor heat can make a considerable difference in your cooling bill in summer months or in warm climates. Cooler running processors are more likely to operate properly without upgraded cooling in warmer climates. There are literally dozens of advantages of a more efficient processor. You simply refuse to see them.
4. I don't tell people to buy amd or intel because of benchmarks. For years I have told people that real world performance is all that matters. It's not a popular opinion to have, but it is part of the reason I am using a 2.26b with a gig of generic memory right now. I could score better benchmarks with my winchester+512megs BH5 easily, but I want a gig of ram and I haven't gotten around to tweaking the winchester rig to operate to my desires with a gig of BH5.
