i dont even know what to say. if i told you the sky was blue, you would tell me im wrong.

The sky is green.

I just wanted to say that (if true) I find this thread very refreshing. Many people have absolutely no respect for themselves or their bodies. These people wander mindlessly wondering why they are obese and in bad health (I know .. I generalize a bit).

Again, if the feelings shared here are true ... there is a small glimmer of hope for the Human race.

I don't think anyone wonders why they're obese. And really, most don't have much of a choice as high calorie foods are much more accessible than fresh produce.

And to say McDonald's is "unhealthy" is misleading. It'll contain fats, proteins, and sugars that are necessary to live. The problem is balancing those proportions of fats and fiber and having enough vitamins to process them all.

There's no such thing as an unhealthy food. If you're 300lbs overweight, you probably don't want to eat anything high in cholesterol for fear of sudden death. If you've been starving for a month and weigh 50lbs, eating a McChicken would be extremely healthy. It's all relative.

Furthermore, I wouldn't call someone who gets their rights read to them by an Arch Deluxe "healthy" any more than someone who can't do ten pushups. You aren't used to it so you need to consume less of it to overeat.

If you can sit down at a table and dine on a salad of hemlock and nightshade with no problem, I'd say that's a sign of a well-conditioned body.

I've been trying to eat healthier for the past few months, so I've basically cut fast food out of my diet. I got some fast food last weekend (we were in a hurry to catch a movie), and it made me feel like absolute shit. And it was from a decent local place, not the shit McDonald's has. Doesn't matter. The grease and fat and salt was just too much. It raced through me like shit through a goose and left me feeling like I had swallowed Thor and he decided to punch his way out through my colon.

I'm totally getting a cheeseburger this weekend though. Eating healthy all the time is no fun. Eating healthy most of the time? That's just fine by me.

Sounds to me like you are not living at all if you are not eating any delicious meat other then fish.

Been there, done that. Not missing anything. On the flip side, I'd be genuinely surprised if more than 1/1,000 people have sampled as many beers as I have. To each their own.

I like McD's breakfast. If I never ate one of their sandwiches again, I don't think I would miss it very much. But that $1 Sausage McMuffin is pretty good. 🙂

Agree.
I get their breakfast whenever it's convenient. I rarely eat there for lunch or dinner.

I'm not a fan of beer, but I've been looking for something interesting to try. What are your top five favorites?

I haven't eaten in a fast food joint for years.
I ate fast food twice in my life.
By fast food I mean american big chain untasty stuff.
Panzerotti kebab etc. are fast to eat but they're not as unhealthy/unsavory. These I eat everyday because I'm a student.

I went there last night but had the Southwest Salad. I had 2 big cups of half coke/ half diet coke thou. I can't resist McDonalds coke.

oh my god. been about a year...

reason was because i felt like it. i had been eating very healthy, almost too healthy. i felt so lean, and i just felt like eating some cholesterol for a change.

what a terrible decision. it just sat in my stomach. felt like crap all night, and today i just feel sick. soupy farts that smell like mcdonalds! its just disgusting.

probably the last time i will ever eat it again. i would have probably been better off eating 10 snickers bars at once...

What you need is a baconator from Wendy's.

mcdonalds does alter the taste of coke a little to make it more addictive. not sure what they do, but if you buy coke from the store its not quite the same as mcd's coke. i have known lots of people who dont even like coke unless its from mcdonalds. i have no idea if its worse for you or not, i would imagine the difference in health effects is negligible.

how big of a facepalm is allowed on ATOT?

I actually like their breakfast. But for their other stuff, the last few times I've been, I've always felt nauseaus afterwards. Haven't had their reg. items in awhile.

people just dont realize what real food is.
Who are these people and why do you think you are some sort of new-age exception?
wirednuts said:
theyre out of shape, but they say they can eat anything and be ok.
Again, who are these people you are speaking about? Are you really trying to draw some logical leap to connect the idea that being able to eat a McDonalds hamburger means that you are out of shape?
wirednuts said:
being overweight is not ok! its gross, and its not genetic most of the time.
So you're saying that people who can eat McDonalds are always overweight? I hope you understand that if you feel that way about any of the points above, it makes you out to be pretty logically unsound.. You aren't even making a valid point to address let alone trying to pass it off as some sort of fact. 🙄

my body is a lean mean machine. i love it. im 30 years old and i look 22. i feel like a teenager. actually better.. i was never this strong as a teen. best shape of my life, without question. especially now that i finally passed the mcd's i ate a few days ago hahahaha 😀

So what you're saying is that your body is an archetype of humanity, but you still have chrons and are still unable to digest foods which humans have had the capability of processing since humanity first began?

Hmmm... Difficult. Though I'm actually putting some thought into this by going through my Excel file of beer sampling notes (yes, I'm that guy) so you'd better go buy a few!

1) Paulaner 'Weissbier Dunkel' (bordering on impossible to find stateside)
2) Samuel Smith's 'Imperial Stout'
3) Cooper's Pale Ale
4) Alaskan 'Summer Koelsch'
5) Negra Modelo

Top 5 is hard to do, because a lot of it depends on my general mood as well as what I know can actually be found in the US. The Paulaner and Samuel Smith's are probably my two most firm answers. You almost certainly will not find the Paulaner in Dunkel form in the US, so my alternate recommendations are Franziskaner's Weissbier, both the Dunkel and the standard are fairly easy to find, or Paulaner's original Weissbier.

None of these are beers you would dare offend the gods by drinking from the bottle. In particular, if you've never had a Weissbier, you'll need a glass because there's a bit of a method to coaxing all of the flavor out; Weissbiers (and a lot of Pale Ales, like the Coopers) have a lot of sediment which settles firmly at the bottle of the bottles. You'll very slowly and gently poor all of the beer out into a tall glass except for just enough to have a little pool at the bottom of the bottle (a few tablespoons worth, roughly) and then give the bottle a solid shaking with your finger over the lip. Then, peek in with your eye to see that you've gotten all of the sediment from the bottom of the bottle, if not repeat. Then slowly pour out those last few tablespoons into your glass and watch as your beer goes from something that already looked pretty manly to something that will block sunlight.

On top of that, real beers, as wines, need a breath of air to fully establish an aromatic playground. Drinking from the bottle doesn't provide it.

May wanna grab an Original and a Dunkel of the Franziskaner just so you can compare yourself (Dunkel being German for 'Dark', with the kick in flavor/color coming from more heavily roasted ingredients)

Anyways, the Alaskan is currently out of season but any beer from them is fantastic, I just prefer the Summer as a refreshing beer. The Negra Modelo is the most 'mainstream' on the list, particularly if you live anywhere near the Southwest, but it's one of the best German style dark lagers you'll find. There are better, but convenience stores usually have this on the shelf so the reliability factor is huge.

mcdonalds was around at the begining of humanity?

When I need a system purge I would eat a McDonalds burger because I always get the "runs" if you know what I mean🙁 Only eat them if I have NO choice for a meal. Prefer Wendy's by a long shot.

I always get bottle water and no fries with my burgers. Yes, I know the burger contains a crap load of calories but why add more right?

I kind of like white beers, so I'm going to hunt for that first one. Can you tell me where you found it? I live in Brooklyn, land of the hipsters, so I'm sure someone will be able to point me to a fancy beer bar.

Negra modelo is the only one on the list I've heard of, so I'll pick that one up soon.

how is that /thread when ive had chrons for 10 years and the only thing that keeps me healthy is eating healthy food? and people havent been eating processed food from the beginning of humanity... i dont even know why im debating this. a couple posters in this thread are really stupid.
