I have had too much winter over the last 5 days.

It's been very cold here and we keep getting Lake Effect Snow. Right now it looks and feels like the arctic. I can hear the wind howling outside while the snow is blinding everyone.

I can hardly wait for spring.

PS: I just felt like bitching about the weather.
 
I like winter. I love listening to the wind howl while I sit inside with a hot coco.

I also love the fact that it darks early.
 
You live in the Great White North, and are complaining about winter... already?! *sigh* wind is howling here too. Time to head out and refill water buckets before bed. Got the boots waiting for me, heating up. 🙂
 
I also live in the frozen wasteland but I prefer it to be dark when I wake up so that part of winter doesnt bother me, getting home from work at 5pm when it has already been dark for 1.5-2 hours is a little annoying though.
 
I'm currently disappointed with winter. I can see dirt, if I can see dirt there is not enough snow.

So winter needs to make with the snowing now thank you.

Before Christmas it dipped down to about -16F -26C here in Colorado. One town was even colder than that. It's still colder than hell here. Right now it's 23F -5C so not as bad. At least I can smoke outside rather than the damn garage.

It's that arctic cold that came down from you guys. My dad has a friend in Florida and it was bloody 80F 26C! Lucky punk!

It's out second national sport, behind hockey but ahead of lacrosse.

They have been getting an awful lot of snow out in IronWoode's neck of the woods. Still this winter has been nowhere near as bad as last year's. Bitterly cold combined with a shit ton of snow. Was the coldest my parents could remember, so that's going back to the late 50s.
 
That's the part of winter I hate the most actually, is the lack of daylight. I love it in summer when it's light out till like 10pm and sun starts to come up at like 4-5am. It's short lived though, maybe 2-3 months of that.

I always consider going solar, then realize it's completely pointless here. It would only work decently for a few months of the year, and even in summer more than half the time it's cloudy.
 
Yeah, winter kicked in strong after New Year. Yesterday's high in Toronto was -16C. Historical normals are -2C, so it's cold even for Canadian standards.
At least Toronto didn't see much snow, and since I park in an underground garage both at home and at work, it hasn't bothered me much...
 
Underground parking would be nice. For the majority of the winter my car is covered in snow and ice. I get the worse of it off every day before and after work but impossible to actually keep it 100% and over time any residual snow hardens. Once in a while I'll give it a good cleaning though and chip away right down to the metal. It's oddly satisfying when I can remove it in big chunks at a time.
