how about I tell you to STFU instead

Now if your 'buddy' has any input...................

He's not a member here, he knows nothing about computers, what's your point?

oh....and why does your light go out as soon as someone questions you?

What light? WTF are you talking about? I gave you guys all the info I have....

oh.....and pictures of your car?
Sure, gimme a minute to upload them.
Get the quotes right and I'll respond......or better yet just STFU before you dig yourself a deeper hole.......

Thanks, I know how to quote, I've only been here about 2 and a half years longer than you, I just figured I'd answer each question, BTW, got your pics up. Is it time for you to STFU yet?

2 and a half years longer than me ? LOL. I never really doubted your car nor did I call BS on it. Just wanted pics.

The rest of your little spill up there makes no sense and I will proudly wave the BS flag on it.

Your buddy did the frame swap before you were in the pictiure? Then you both did major mods? So he disassembled the car so you could help 30 years later? What major mods?

My pics? I've posted pics of my car (although a different shell), the engine swap and time slips before. The car is apart now but if it is really important to you I'll snap some pics tommorow.

240z/RB26DETT/ AZcar RR struts/ blah/blah/sub 11 seconds............

Daily driver that I would still put up against your car is a 76 280 w/ 3.1 turbo stroker .......nothing but a boost change needed......

No, either I typed it wrong or you read it wrong, doesn't really matter. He got the car new for a graduation present, he swaped the frame in the late 70's for whatever reason, it stayed a stock 67 frame till 2001 when I picked up the project to help him out through a mutual friend in a corvette club, I also own a 96(last year of the LT-1). We tore the car back apart for a frame off and he decided he wanted to go full on drag car so we boxed and triangulated the frame expecting to punch the 427(66 L36 block from a swapmeet) to a ~527(sounds nice, lol) and he wanted a whipple blower and butterfly valves out the hood, wich might have made me cry. I talked him into going more mild, punched it about .45 over(including the hone) wich puts it just under 500 I think. Built th400 wich we had to have someone else do cause I don't do trannies. He has a pair of third members(separate of course, can't seem to get my hands on a columbia two speed) 3.11 and 4.11 cause he likes to drive it regularly without killing himself. Interior still needs some work. Wow, I'm good at blathering.

Frame Modifications:
Boxed and internally triangulated
New boxed crossmembers
New engine mounts, 67 frame came stock with small block
triangulated 4 link rear-end
custom IFS up front

Because those are cheap plastic toys that 'LOOK' cool and have large aftermarket for bling accessories. Those idiots can't afford a real high performance car and certainly wouldn't know how to modify it in any way that didn't involve chrome spinners, clear tail lights, and blue neons and LEDs.

I'll keep my twin screw blown '03 IRS Cobra thank you.

Because we all know that nobody has ever seen a Pep Boyed out domestic car before!

Oh yes I have I've seen it all... even sentras and 3 banger geos riced out with spinners and fart pipes. But I was talking about the cars he listed ("Guess what they have now? 350Zs, MR2s, S2000s") Those aren't known as high performance cars, they are just cute and trendy cars that are 'blingable' and fasionable, that is all high school kids are after these days. Look at the ads for cars like Eclipses and tell me what audience they are going for... the little bleach blond blue tipped haired kids that think they are going to be the first cool kid on the block to put blue LEDs all over everything thats who.

Same thing with electronics, like cell phones like the RAZR, it?s the hottest phone for god knows why, its one of the crappiest on the market in terms of features. It?s all about what ?looks dope dawg?, what everyone else has, and what they can afford on their McDonalds budget while pretending they are something they aren't.

Once again, I?ll keep my twin screw blown Cobra? KB 2.4 blower + Crower stage 2 blower cams + full Bassani exhaust == the ricers better use more glue to keep their body kits attached even if they just want to sit next to me when I?m idling.

The only exterior modification I have on my car is a brushed billet gas cap door. Everything else is under the hood and the only stuff that is mirror polished can't be seen without taking the engine apart. And I have the stock matte brushed rims, not the polished bling crap. Much classier IMO.

My friends IS300 :] And yes he's really my friend, if you want pictures, i can just drive over to his house and take them.

IS300

I would think this Japanese... (AHEM rice rocket.... which it isnt but since you like to call all japanese cars rice rocket)... will give your stang a run for its money :]

BTW the car underwent some more weight reductions, removal of the speaker box. DRFT custom carbon fiber trunk, and the hood is a special DRFT edition carbon fiber hood as well. He's expected to compete against the badboys in D1, pretty soon.

If your stang isnt as spec'd out compared to the falken stang, i dont think your stang would even have a slight chance.

Also, dont under estimate RCN's silvia (nissan's 240 in case you dont know). Ive seen some silvia's take down a viper like it was absolutely nothing. Also makes sense why the silvia is one of the most raced cars in japanese import.

Also Aspec has 2 Evo's each with close to 600hp. These are time attack cars which would definitely blow your stang away. These however arent street legal.

Aspec Evo's

They have 2, ive seen them up close, got to touch them, smell inside them. Personally i like there blue one better, but this is just for reference.

So what was that comment about japanese cars blowing???

Im not saying your stang is bad, so please dont take it the wrong way. Personally i would die for the salene S7, but being so outragously priced, its something i could get in my dreams dream. I just feel some credit should be given to japanese cars.

Personally, i think moding is kinda dumb, my friends car litterally leaks out gas, he has about the range of 100-120 miles on a full tank which is kinda pointless.

Thank god he has a daily driver. Anyhow, im a proud member of the I4, V6, V8, and an old Jag V12 club. :p

And I say you're completely narrow minded. You cannot possibly compare something as fashionable as a RAZR phone to a 350Z, an MR-2, or an S2000. Those ARE sports cars. Do you do any track racing? Have you seen what those cars are capable of? Don't get me wrong I can't stand this rice crap but I've seen just as many riced out V6 Mustangs as I have Civics. These import vs domestic threads always crop up with everyone chiming in which is better than which. I've always said it's apples vs oranges. But if you seriously think that the aforementioned "rice rockets" are not "high performance" sports cars you seriously need to broaden your horizons.

A supercharged Cobra with extra tuning, hell yes it's going to beat any stock import in a straight line.

I'm closed minded. I'm willing to admit that. My daily driver is an 05 impala with a 3400 gen3 that's front wheel drive, it gets me from point A to point B with no problem and keeps me from getting speeding tickets that would be otherwise abundant. But, it having owned everything from a late 70's honda civic to an 82 Corvette and an 06 Z06 and my impala, I HATE front wheel drive, I will never again own a 4 banger. I'm perfectly happy with my Impala's v-6 for daily driver applications but, I personally would not consider trying to bring the car to any race accept maybe bracket drags just because it's so consistant.

A frame up built 600 HP Evo is hardly a 350Z with deer antlers or a S2000 with a fart can or a lowered Sentra with racing stripes.

I never said Japanese cars blow. I said the kids blow, those who spend their parents money on whatever the current blingy fad car is and call their neon wiper blades and blue headlamp lense tint mods.

There is a fine line between a street legal daily driver and a all out racer :)

If I put as much work and money into my Cobra as the kind of cars you are talking about I could always rebuild the short block from ground up and have a 1600+ HP car and gut the Cobra to make a 6 second track car, but I don't need to, as I drive on city streets from stoplight to stoplight and I don't have 16 yr olds in 4 second nitro methane dragsters revving at the stop light next to me :p

But still the point is im making 700 HP at the wheels, can any of the cars you mentioned pull that off with minor bolt ons on a factory production car with a stock long block and remain a reliable daily driver or are those cars rebuilt from ground up for track only? The only other production car I know of in that league is the Supra with it's factory I6. Even the 500+ HP 3S-GTE MR2s have to be rebuilt for the power.

Either way the cars we are comparing are worlds away from some kid who just drove an Eclipse off the lot and thinks hes hot stuff. I have nothing against Japanese cars in general, and anything I said that you might have interpreted that way applies to jocks in V6 mustangs and camaros as well.

In fact I give those guys even more crap than I do the 4 banger import guys, because a Civic is just a Civic, there isn't much to front. But if someone is going to front with a Mustang or Camaro, for example, it better be a Cobra or SS or I don't want to hear about it. Even the Mustang GT is funny with 260 HP V8 being beat by the new 3.5L V6 everyone is using now.

Pontiac GTO Its american too can can probably take your stang with the same mods. LS2 engine btw

2008 Slyline Most likely beat a stock cobra. Even the old R34 would probably be a scary match.

Also i would like to note.
8.761 158.280 mph Chevrolet Nova ss Holds one of the fastest 1/4 mile times. Its american car.

Also i believe there is a civic that holds a 8 sec 1/4 mile time.

Also lastly,
Video of Supra Vs. Stang
You can hear the guy say BYE~ and toast the mustang. However im not too sure about this. They say the stang is TT'd, but i think the stang has minor mods, while the supra had a really really really really really big turbo charger. You can hear it.

Im not saying american cars are gay. As i have stated there pretty powerful cars, and if stock goes, any japanese car will have a hard time against a GTO. But im just trying to prove a point in that, the 2JZ-GTE engine from toyota is a pretty mean engine to be going up against v8's. Lets not forget the legendary R34 motor from nissan. These are all 6 cylinders.

Im also pretty sure a stock M3 E46 would give u a hard time.

Also heres one last bit to make you think different about S2000's
Spoon S2000 Its a spoon edition. Spoon upgrades is becoming more and more easily to get, and will most likely unlock that 4 banger in the S2000 to beat more V8's in the industry.

Oh when you say your at 700+ Hp to the wheels, im assuming you dyno'd the car. Theres not much otherway you can find out since mod parts gives only aprox.

Care to prove it with a printout of what the HP is ?

I know of no mustang that can hit 700rwhp with bolt ons. Even an '03+ Cobra won't get close.

Here's an 840HP supercharged 2006 Mustang GT . It's using the stock 4.6L block but the crank, rods, and pistons have been replaced with some forged ones....the stock one's wouldn't survive much past 500HP. It has 770RWHP....sure it has lots of mods, but they are bolted on ;)

That's because the poster is full of it.
Without building up the bottom end there is no way to push 700+hp out of it.

I'd love to see a dyno slip, though I'm sure that doesn't exist.

hence why i asked for one :p
Having about 700HP to the wheels means u would have to have about 800BHP. I dont know if the stock longblock could handle that much stress.
