Yep, tomorrow is the day. Hopefully, I will get something good enough that I won't remember what's going on for a few days. Frankly, this is not something that I want to experience or remember.

Update!
The burning question: How much sensation did you lose?
The burning answer: A WHOLE FREAKING LOT.

If I had known I was going to lose as much sensitivity as I did, I would not have gotten circumsized until it was a last resort. The old saying about the palm of your hand vs. the back is an understatement- the nerve endings in my foreskin gave me a completely different dimension of sensation, but now it's gone. Crap.

So there it is, people, proof from a cognizant person who knows the before and after: Circumcision DEFINATELY reduces the amount of sensation in your penis by an large amount- maybe even half. It's not a percentage, nor is it accurate to say half- it's a whole different set of sensations that complement and add to sexual pleasure. I'm sorry for all you guys who never got to know that sensation- it's FAR superior to what I have now.

Penis, I'm sorry.

I'll never forget the time we had together with our foreskin. 🙁
RIP Foreskin

The conclusion: If you hate your child, have him circumcised.
you know this after one month? i would consult with your doctor and see if the healing process can be complete after one month.

Yes.
yes, you did consult with your doctor about loss of sensation?

so your orgasms aren't as intense?

No, I haven't asked him about it after the fact, but I did before, and he told me that it was to be expected.

That is correct, my orgasms are much less intense. It's like riding a bicycle with one wheel.

Are you having problems wearing underwear? I read a thread like this once on the healthboard.com and they had a problem wearing underwear (briefs) for as long as 6 months after the op because the rubbing of the underwear on the penis head was irritating them.

Hmm- kind of. Positioning is an art now. Sometimes, riding a bicycle causes the glans to rub against the inside seam of my pants through the briefs, which is very uncomfortable.
so you aren't completely healed. give it time. i don't think you are at full go yet.

Why so afraid to beleive what I'm telling you? I can certainly say that there is a whole part of my penis that is MIA and no longer reporting to my brain, and that that piece of my penis carried a SIGNIFICANT load of the pleasure-sensing, which is now gone.
where did i say i didn't believe you? i am just saying i don't think you are completely healed.

where did i say i didn't believe you? i am just saying i don't think you are completely healed.

Believe what you want. But this is a very common issue for men who circumsize in adult life.

There might even be more to it than that... I would guess sensitivity may increase with time.
And yes, cut guys can still have very intense Os 😛

Did you not say:

because i am not going to believe that circumcised guys don't have intense orgasms.

How does the sensitivity of the penis leading up to an orgasm change the sensation of the orgasm? 😕

It's all in your head. You were highly combative with all the pro-circumcision people in this thread well before giving it a test drive so you obviously weren't going in to this with an open or unprejudiced mind.

eh, i thought he was saying i didn't believe the OP. hence i responded " i never said i didn't believe him. "

Well, I learned something new today. I didn't know it gave you more sensation to have the foreskin. Guess I'll never know what I've been missing since I'm cut, but it would have been nice to know. Oh well, it still feels pretty damn good anyway, hard to imagine sex feeling any better.

You lose A LOT of skin in the circumcision. It's like masturbating with or without lotion. It changes the sensation considerably, and the orgasm changes as well.

Well for one you aren't healed yet... you should have let it heal longer than a month before you started playing with it again...

That's the answer...

i don't think you can comment on an orgasm from a circumcised point of view versus and uncircumcised point of view unless you've experienced both venues.

Well i'm a lot more authoritative on it than you. So why are you here?

In very passing discussion, my gf mentioned that she'd probably want to get any future children clipped and I didn't want to start a fight so I didn't say anything, but if it's as bad as you say it is, I'll dig my heels in when the time comes.

Most definately. I my eyes, circumcision isn't about the hour or so that the child goes the pain- it's the LIFETIME that that man will now have a signigicant portion of his sexual facility gone. It's just wrong, taking something like that from a child for no sufficient reason.

Allow me to restate what I said before in a more accurate way. It's not a reduced sensitivity in an area, it's that one area just isn't there anymore. Imagine having the right half of your penis numbed with novacaine. Aside from the asymmetry, that's what it's like.

Edit: And yes, I did have a bit of a U-turn here. I went into the operation thinking 'Circumcision is bad to do to everyone, but in my case it's needed'. Now I'm thinking 'Circumcision is bad to do to everyone, and when a problem comes up, circumcision should be the last resort'.

I think you need to give it more time to "adapt"? One month just doesn't sound like a right amount of time for such drastic adjustments.

stop being an #######. i am asking questions and questioning the healing process.
you are acting like an authority on the feelings associated with orgasms whether you are cut or uncut which you are unqualified to do.

If you loose half your sensitivity, but you get 2x the number of BJ's, you really loose nothing. Therefore it is on you to make things right again. But in all seriousness, glad your surgery went ok and your doing alright.

Here is my take on the 'not enough time' factor:

The glans lost 90% of the sensitivity that is will lose in the first couple of days, due to growing 'skin' or a protective layer, now that it is exposed. Is is more sensitive than a glans that has been exposed for a lifetime? Yes. But not by much. I can't tell much of a difference between the way it feels now and the way it felt a week after the op. Sure, there's more protective layer now, but the sensation was already gone. What I'm commenting on is the hundreds of thousands of nerve endings that I used to have that I now don't. That has nothing to do with healing time. If anything, my sensation is getting worse with time as my glans 'toughens' to deal with being unprotected.
