this is a good thing... cuz now you don't have to worry about him being gay ;)

j/k...

anyway, you should be happy, your son is talking to you about stuff like girls. so he feels comfortable talking to you about his 'secrets'... lots of parents don't even have this type of communication with their kids

Hahahaha! You're in for a ride, GF...I was just like that when I was 9. I liked this one girl who lived next door, her name was Ashley. I remember my mom asking me about the "little blonde girl" and I replied "No mom, she's better than blonde" -- this was like 8 or 9 years old. :D

Don't say I didn't warn you.

True. :) I know I wouldn't talk to my parents about girls... no matter how old I am.

I tell my mom almost everything that comes to girls... lets put it this way she knows when I am dating someone or not.

I feel your pain! That's how I feel after a football game and all the little cheerleaders come up to my son (He's 11) Oh you did such a good job, you're so strong, I will call you later!!! I can't take it!

A 9 year-old has no business having a "lady" yet. If he's smart he'd wait til he's in highschool.

Well it's not like they are getting a dime bag and a six pack to go behind the elementary school and get busy. It's just the kind of thing were they tell their friends, psst, theres my boyfriend/girlfriend, and giggle over it. ;)

Denis: You just made my fears all worse with that look how I turned out comment. :Q Kidding of course, I would be happy if he turned out to be such a nice guy. :)

Siva and urbantechie: Remind me to kick you both later, repeatedly. :D

lol.. get him started on some elemetary programming and HTML early, teach him about IT and how to build computers and add a dose of RTS games like starcraft and FPS like Quake (not now.. but later in teens years, at least for quake, too violent for 9years old, but say.. 13-14 is about the rite time to start him on quake.)

Do that, and I garenette you he'll still be a virgin when he leaves HS

Oh my daughter with the condoms on her feet, sliding up and down the linoleum. Boy, there is a story to tell all her friends when she is a teenager. :D

<< Want me to send you a photomanipulation of Janet Reno in a bikini to show him? That ought to make him play videogames and not think about girls for another 10 years >>

Now if THAT doesn't make him join the He-Man Woman-Haters Club or G.R.O.S.S. (Get Rid Of Slimy girlS) I don't know what will! :p

It look like he loves his mom and want to have a GF that look like her. Just think of it as a good thing, because he could have said that he want to be with some one that look like his dad and uses condoms on his hands ;)

I tell you, women are wicked creatures. Their treachery has precipitated the downfall of history's greatest leaders.

Just Kidding :)

Women are great, but I kinda agree with you here - he does seem a little young at 9 years...but I don't think he really means to date her, or at least he doesn't really understand the full meaning of what he's saying.

Give him a porno mag. ;)

Either that or teach him about the birds and bees.

I learned at an early age and look how I turned out! :D
