unxpurg8d: You know as well as I do, wives can do that. Because they can blackmail with not just food, but sex too. Mothers however are screwed... ;)

Oh yes, its a handy little tool. I especially like "Oh honey, I am so sorry you have not had the time in the two months you have been laid off to put that one tiny nail in the wall for me. Guess you just won't have time to put anything elsewhere tonight, now will you?"

Now if it only worked..... *Grumble* ;)

GF:

I wouldn't worry too much about it yet. I had my crushes when I was 9. Hell, I had my first crush when I was in the second grade. I don't remember how old I was at the time, but she was a first grader & damned cute. :) Of course it never went anywhere, but it was sure fun to look nonetheless.

Stay abreast of his relationships, let him know what you do & don't approve of, & you'll be fine.

GF,
I don't think you should worry. I've been chasing girls since I was three. I had my first kiss when I was three (didn't get my next one until I was 17). I had crushes throughout gradeschool, middle school, and into high school. However, my mother taught me to be very respectful and a gentleman at all times. If your son is telling you these things now (at 9) then it seems to me that you and he have a good relationship and things will go well. Smile and watch as things develop. :)

Wait till he could become one of the majority of teenagers that loses their virginity at 16 or 17. Maybe younger.

His years of innocence are few.
