I've heard that once before, and I wonder how for the life of me anyone could verify that.

Unless there are black-suited commando teams that roam the countryside, invading homes and slipping spiders into unsuspecting sleepers mouths...

LOL! Hey you think a spider in the shower is bad you should realize you've probably eaten some spiders before in your sleep. They are attracted to moisture from your breath and they crawl in your mouth, then you swallow them while sleeping. The average human eats 8 spiders in their lifetime.

Who did the study on that??

I hate spiders and the only ones we have around here and tiny house spiders pretty much. If I ever see one in my house I kill it if I can because I hate having them running around. If I saw a bigger one I don't know what I would do.

Yea, very painful. Not as likely to kill as a black widow, but you definately don't want to get bitten by a brown recluse.

My mom lives in Arkansas, rurally. She gets tons of Recluses and scorpions every year. No one has been stung or bit yet. If you're observant and careful it's not at all likely you'll be bitten.

Does screaming like a little girl and running away also decrease your chances of getting bitten?

My boss's dad almost died from the bite of a brown recluse. It bit him on the head as he was sleeping. Apparently his head starting swelling, he was getting dizzy and major migrane headaches.

Meh, spiders are cool. They eat mosquitos :) If I see a spider in the house I'll just toss it out the window.

What the heck is a brown recluse? Most of the spiders I see around here are the daddy long-legs (those are harmless right?) and another kind which is smaller and fatter.
