I really cant stand it anymore. Espically the cocky ones who 'think' they are right. I really need to get a new hobby....its so frustrating!

I agree. I don't let anyone know that I'm a computer enthusiast - it's too much of a hassel. :frown:

A technique I've found effective in dealing w/ newbs like that is to change their Control Panel settings.

Better; set up a Group Policy on the Local Machine. Lock them down so they can't do much else but login.

If they know "so much" tell them "go ahead and fix it...screw you guys; I'm going home."

I was talking to a guy the other day about new computer stuff and he mentioned a 21" lcd monitor. He said, "You know, the kind that plays DVD's."

Me---> "oh."

the other day my friend heard some dude that works at a law firm (at the computer forensics dept.) saying that he downloaded Seti@home and it was given to him by NASA to participate in an underground project :eek:
