financial, cultural, political, and economic centers do in fact tend to be quite good places to live. that's often why so many people live there in the first place.

Our parks and rec has no programming for kids so they have do too sports through organizations like Pop Warner, but you can't actually have your kids do that because they have known sex offenders volunteering with kids. If we want to buy something from somewhere other than the TWO Wal-Mart stores in town it's a 20 minute drive to the next town over. Something like 30% of all retail space in town is big box anchored strip malls that have been vacant for a decade or more.
