Speak for yourself, dude. I'm a bang-for-the-buck enthusiast. Components get upgraded piecemeal, at the price point where the cost-per-performance is justified.

Yeah, buying a $900 CPU just for Crysis is silly... to me. I'm not judging those who do, because their money helps the industry I love.

Anyway. Poor troll, but it got a response I guess. :)

Count your total hardware purchases... Then convert it to 100/hr with a hooker..

30min avg per sex session..

HOW many days of steady sex have you missed?

Thats why crysis bloat.

Even on "average" hardware which is around 1200$ runs 30fps.. another 1000 gets you the 60. ASSUMING you're lucky with the overclock.

This only applies to those who need to pay for sex. Unlike a wife or a girlfriend, the hooker doesn't stay around after. So it's not a good investment at all.

I have so a girlfriend so I can spend my money on a rig to play crysis, with her, on.

Its our money dude, you'd rather spend it on some diseased hooker. Go ahead!
I'd rather spend it on my rig.

God you guys and your concepts of hookers are all skewed. You pay a hooker to go away, and that's the point....

I keep giving my girlfriend money and she won't go away. She's a pretty bad hooker if you ask me.

I've had to straighten people out in 2 threads now.

EVERY man pays for sex. And a wife is the most expensive poon you will every have.
Hookers are a far better deal for the money than most other sources. Aside from Mardi Gras is which case its a couple beers and some beads.

Crysis 2 Available In 3D

Graphically demanding game includes framerate intensive 3D feature that requires specialist hardware and a new monitor: Nvidia and co. jump for joy!

The futuristic shooter action game Crysis 2 promises to be the first major game available in 3-D on the three major high-def game platforms when it is released later this year for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PCs. "The success of 3-D movies like Avatar and the introduction of 3-D TVs from the hardware manufacturers tells us that this is the next big movement in entertainment, much like HD was years ago," says Cevat Yerli, CEO of Frankfurt-based Crytek.
Both versions of the game (2-D and 3-D) will have the same content.

Even the game's multiplayer mode will be playable in 3-D. "For games especially, 3-D gives gamers an increased level of immersion, which can enhance an intense experience like Crysis 2," Yerli says.

I'd be much happier if they focused on just making Crysis 2 and not some piss poor 3D crap. However, after seeing the gameplay videos, it looks like another arcade style shooter. I was really hoping for a more tactical stealth gameplay.

Please explain to me how the game's engine is poorly coded garbage.

he's trolling.. the whole "crysis runs bad because it's poorly coded" is quite a myth. It's over built, and if you try and access certain functions/features and don't have the right rig, it'll crash and burn.

I am someone that generally has fairly powerful rigs, so it has nothing to do with not accessing features.

The game does not utilize resources efficiently. End of story.

CryEngine 2 came out in 2007. Hardware isn't like it was back then.

The original Crysis/WH was seen to not scale well with cores, if at all in some instances. Probably to be expected considering when it came out but this time they have no excuse.

IIRC dual core offered some advantages, but any more and there wasn't any significant improvement (clock speed took over)

Apparently the engine itself is built for processing 3-D, so by default, anything made it in will support it. Makes sense that everything about the game would support it, even the multiplayer. I suspect every game using that engine to use 3d as a marketing.

All 3D engines are built for 3D imaging, just add a second camera for disparity. Frame 1, camera 1, eye 1. Frame 2, camera 2, eye 2. This is not complicated.
