ahhh!!! best buy has them in stock now!!!! B&M Only!! GOGOGOGOGOGOGOGOGOGOOGOGOGOGOGO!!!!!!!!!

I can't drive around all day looking for something I really don't even need, so I opted to call. Was told none available. Not sure if they are just saying that for phone calls asking, or if that really is the case but I don't care either way.

Good luck driving around.

Haha.. the only BB showing "In Store Only" is in San Francisco.. Not worth making that trek (and I'm already at work).

Target must have just sold off their inventory online. Site had a woof were suddenly very popular message. Just came back up and both wiped out. Was just looking for a touchstone charger anyways.

I went to one and my friend went to another this morning at opening. Both didn't have any. They said they might have some later that afternoon though. I hope they're just not pulling me around.

So, my TP arrived, but they sent me a 32GB instead of the 16GB I ordered. woohoo!

Ordered from where?

also PSA: According to twitter, sorry Canadians... no more Touchpads in Canukistan... EVER. They're sold out completely of inventory.

Just found this on ebay.....its going for $99 wholesale price classified ad

Hope it helps 🙂

Please stop linking to eBay guys.

Touchpad has arrived from Best Buy. I bought the HP rubberized case and the Touchstone charger from a friend for $40 and am setting everything up. 🙂

Because there are restrictions to the links for ebay here, I just wanted to inform everyone that there is a listing there for 16GB HP TP and its going for $99. Its a classified ad.

I don't care if there's a $100 bill being sold for $1 on eBay; what happens on eBay stays on eBay. Any kind of eBay auction promotion will not be allowed.

Just got that $5 case that Mosh linked from verizon a few pages back...

It fits the touchpad damn near perfectly. Excellent for a $5 product. I had a laugh though because I had to actually sign for the case, and I didnt have to sign for the touchpad.

If you're in NW Ohio, don't bother with BB. All 3 stores are OOS. They had 2-4 shipped to them last night and they went quick (by their employees).

Anybody know about orders placed through costcentral.com? I'm hearing that cancellation e-mails are coming through for onsale.com on slickdeals.

was in line this morning, store had 32*32gb ones.. all sold out.. i got none.. I was number 38..
eek!

tomorrow..

That happened to me yesterday, I was 3 or 4 people away when they announce they were out. I was so pissed since I drove an hour to get there. Luckily the next store I went to had TONS of them so I was still able to get one.

Gratz man, glad to see you finally got one 🙂.

I posted this in the mobile devices forum, but it might also be useful to some here...

Make sure you update that puppy, my ran like shit with the 3.0.0 software on it. Oh and if you can't get the system update via the web to work, try the suggestions for the webos doctor update method in this link:

http://forums.precentral.net/hp-touchpad/293028-new-touchpad-heres-your-get-started-guide.html

The webos updater on my pad didn't work, I imagine because 300,000 people are trying to update this week, and the webos doctor method wasn't working either but after a bit of searching I found this post which allowed it to work:
That's alright. Not sure if it's still true but it's usually better to put the device into recovery mode before running a doctor, rather than letting it try to reboot the device itself. All you have to do is power off the device, plug in the USB cable, and then power it back on while holding the volume up button in. In addition, you don't have to have the device in developer mode that way.
Apparently some people with Win 7 x64 couldn't get this WebOS doctor to work without doing the above. It worked for me, and I'm finally updated., it's what I had to do.
