Picked up my 32GB in store from online order @ BB. There was a stack of about 10 there with mine being exactly on the bottom.

I have another 32GB on order w/ free shipping through BB. Order is still in progress...

I am loving this deal.
Now to find some cheap accessories.

Ugh, Ebay is even worse, people are marking these things up over 300% what they paid. Disgusting.
Give it time, the price will have to come down. The ebay/CL market will be absolutely flooded. Also, other retailers are going to be offering this soon for the same price set by HP.

With the mass hysteria this weekend, it's not clear to me how long retail stock is going to last, so I wouldn't expect too much there. But, I agree on the prices coming down on CL and Ebay - there are so many of them, sellers are going to start getting desperate to unload. If you've sunk $500 of money you don't really have into depreciating inventory (and, face it, the value of a Touchpad isn't going up), you're going to have to get rid of it sometime.

They are now stating out of of stock when you call HP, I tried last night after the first post mentioning luck. Was on hold about 20 minutes, all sold out. Just tried again now, got right through this time. All sold out, but willing to take my name and email address. I asked the fellow about the discrepancies in information surrounding availability. He just reiterated they have none to sell right now.

After reading around,I will bet/speculate the price will settle at ~200$ ,this pad has a hardware equal to that of an ASUS transformer, the only department in which it lacks is software and apps, which is going to change very soon, developers will not ignore this new and huge user base, this sale has created.

So I got an order in through HP Small Business last night, but I never got a order confirmation e-mail. Did my order actually go through? I know I was hitting f5 like a madman with the out of memory error...

Hmm, it looks like I can check my order status:

$99.00

but still no confirmation e-mail. chances of getting it? should I try to find another one via retail stores just in case?

I ordered a 16gb from the onsale retailer on amazon. We will see if I get one. Don't really need one, so not sure if I will keep it.

One guy had 3 auctions where for 20.00 he sold the information on how to get a 32GB touch pad for 149.99

One auction had 1 sold, 11 buyers on a second and the last had 19.

Hmmm, wonder if I should buy one from onSale.

Do it before it is sold out. They are acually the same company as "macmall." So they are reputable. They will also take returns if it is unopened, etc. People called them and asked if they are real HP tablets (people on sd thought it was a fake). They confirmed it is a hp touchpad.

They have 16 and 32gb in stock now.

I got a 16gb for $115 with shipping and tax. I think I can sell it for at least $150 if I don't want it. I am surprised they are not sold out yet. I think we might get a lot of cancellation e-mails.

My Onsale purchase couple minutes ago already went to shipping soon status and can't be canceled. So I think it's legit. Plus you're protected under Amazon's A-Z third party guarantee.

Plus people have called MacMall and they said they have ton in stock.

I just got an order in, I'm excited. Even if it doesn't get rooted, I can still use it as a portable media player, web browser kind of thing. If it gets Android on it, well awesome.

It's too bad so many scalpers bought these things up. Just judging from Ebay/CL, looks like the VAST majority sold are to people just wanting to gouge other people, a la early PS3/Gamecube/etc. I hope they get burned, fuckers.

I ordered via small business via phone yesterday and got a confirmation e-mail today for what it's worth.

I ordered twice through the OnSale listing at Amazon... I actually want a couple.. but we'll see if it works that way.

I just got mine through Amazon had to dive on the 32gb model. I really wanted a 16gb model but when I think about it the worst case scenario is I have a $160.00 media player for the kids to watch movies on and something to surf the internet with at home.

Got 2 from Cost Central. But it looks like their inventory is not being updated. It has been at 7119 for the 16GB version for 15 minutes now.

Does anyone have previous experience with the company? Or should I do a "backup" order from onSale through Amazon?
