That's about 8kms from Merredin (nothing in between except paddocks).

Merredin is almost three hours from Perth (~280km).

Not my place, mate's folk's place (they work in Merredin, so a very short drive to work, and you'd be unlikely to see another car on that drive 😉).

Yeah, that's a pretty terrible view. Sorry OP, virtually any decent mountainous region will offer views a million times better than that.
 
I'm with dug on this one, I love that kind of scenery. When I went out to Arizona and Nevada last year I just loved it and I really want to move there some day.

It's a completely different kind of landscape 😛

YOU may prefer a mountainous view (and I'm not saying I don't), but that doesn't automatically mean that ANY other type of landscape is 'terrible', and that you can't have an appreciation for it 😛

Here's the view out the front door of a cabin we go to a lot. See the difference?

Yes, I've become an urban slut in recent years, maybe I'm just compensating for my childhood & youth at a farm in no man's land.

Edit: and you should mind the fact that we did not have the internets or cable TV back than. Sex with neighbours daughters was the only form of entertainment.

I grew up in the country and spent my uni holidays working on the farm, live in the city now, but I escape when I can 😉
