lol, desolate landscape. It may be good if you had kids and they had that big area to play in but for a single or newly married guy the only benefit is silence and it probably gets windy as hell with all that flat area.

YOU may prefer a mountainous view (and I'm not saying I don't), but that doesn't automatically mean that ANY other type of landscape is 'terrible', and that you can't have an appreciation for it :p

Well Dug, I think it's gorgeous. I haven't been to too many places, but I enjoy looking at a variety of landscapes the world has to offer. People are cheating themselves by just limiting their view to one place. As a personal preference I prefer dampness to hot, dry climates, but I would definitely vacation anywhere. It's still beautiful nonetheless.
