How's Dexter this season?

Tonight's episode seemed like an average first Dexter episode. The villain is introduced, the status of various relationships have been updated, etc. The biggest surprise might be what appears to be Maria Laguerta's departure from having a significant role on the show.

I've been infatuated with Kristen Miller for so long...she looked so damn hot in the episode.

That said, agree with Whipper. It was a typical episode 1 for the series. I was surprised by some of the changes though.

That ring blood sample idea was one of the dumbest things we've ever seen Dexter do. I thought it sounded like a stupid plan before seeing the ring, but I assumed it would at least be more subtle, like a burr or rough edge on the ring, not a big spike. Still, I enjoyed the episode and like the idea of an Edward James Olmos/Colin Hanks pairing as the weird religious killers.

Finally got around to watching the first episode. Interesting that Angel and Maria are now divorced - that was quick. Also, I'm guessing that Dexter's babysitter / Angel's sister figures out what it is that Dexter really does at night. She already knows that he goes out on his boat at night.

Also, that blonde at the reunion is hot as hell.
