I agree there is usually something lingering at the end of the season. Now fans are asking what is going to happen next since there is nothing going on. Totally out of character for the show.

Also, I wish they would've gone more into who Jordan Chase was. Obviously he and his cronies were pretty messed up, but they never really explained what the catalyst was.

I thought they did, at least to me they did.

A couple shows back they talked about how Chase was able to talk them into things they may not do. He, chase, was a loner but liked being able to get others to do his commands. That ability plus being a nut = the rape/killer club.

But yea the season ending seemed rushed. Not sure if it was due to his cancer or other issues.

Well, there is obviously more to come between Quinn and Dexter, Dexter certainly did nothing to lessen Quinn's suspicions by clearing Quinn even if Quinn said, "I owe you one."
But, I agree Dexter and Boardwalk Empire both went out in an anticlimax with everyone singing hearts and flowers, unlike Weeds.

Boardwalk Empire definitely has a bit of a climax with Nucky's brother planning to take over. I'm really, really curious to see how that is going to turn out.

That was the most disappointing Dexter ever. Everything just happened to work out A-OK and all nicely wrapped up with a shiny little bow. Ugh.

I guess they'll never top last season's finale but damn, give us something to look forward to.

The way I remember it, last season was actually the first time Dexter had a major cliffhanger at the end of the season. In the previous seasons the stories were all tied up nicely at the end.

I guess that is true. I think I must have just been hoping for more story.

Also, I know you have to suspend alot of reality watching the show, but damn there are plotholes bigger than the universe this season.

I find it amazing that the FBI guy handling the Trinity case wouldn't be at all curious about whether the Mitchell teen thought Quinn's photo was Kyle Butler, especially after Quinn approached the kid in a convenience store.

first spoiler tag:
NAH no way, she just knew jordan chase was the last one who was part of the "rape team"

second:
i dont agree either. i dont think quinn "knew" because he never mentioned it at all. I think he only thanks dexter cop to cop

Quin knew, Liddy called him and and said he had Dexter there, then Liddy died there? He knew. Notice the stern looks they gave each other when the call came in.

No it wasn't. Showtime has already confirmed a 6th season.

Will watch this tonight. Looking forward to it.

My bad, I read season for some reason.

yea, this. I dont think he said he had dexter, just that he had something big

Well it was SUPER obvious what the big thing he was working on was. The reason Quinn didn't want to go to see him was because he knew it was Dexter and he didn't want to ruin his relationship with Deb.

That was a HUGE disappointment.

Of all the options they had, they took the easiest way out in almost every single way.
The way Lumen left the show was incredibly lame and boring. I was hoping that at the VERY LEAST Deb would deduce that it was Dexter and Lumen and accept him or whatever

Easily the worst end of a Dexter season yet.

Very disappointing.
This season started slow, picked up in the middle, and ended lame.

I didn't expect them to be able to top last season, but overall, this was really disappointing.

Tom Brady is a fan of the show. It's funny because him and dexter look like identical twins.

ANd today I see Michael C. Hall and his wife are getting divorced. I wonder how that will affect next season?

I'm sure it was already going on when they were shooting this season. Doubt it will be a big deal.

How would this even work, she can't be with Dexter and she's a drifter basically.
It sounds like nothing but weak speculation.

Dexter producer Sara Colleton has revealed that Lumen (Julia Stiles) could return to the series.

The character decided to end her relationship with Dexter (Michael C. Hall) in the recent fifth season finale.

However, Colleton told Entertainment Weekly: "She's alive, so therefore the door is, of course, open [for her return]."

She added that the character's ultimate fate had been decided early on in the development of the season.

"From the very beginning we knew that Lumen would leave Dexter," she confirmed. "It's devastating for Dexter to lose her, and he has never wanted anything before like this. But at the same time there's something so incredibly direct about Lumen that when she tells him why she has to leave, it makes perfect sense to him."

The showrunner also suggested that making Lumen likeable had been "a very hard thing to pull off".

"Society holds women up to a different standard of behaviour, so having a woman who wanted to avenge what was done to her and is single-minded about it was [difficult]," she said. "It's a thorny, hard character that is not feminine. And yet Julia played it so real that you care about her, and you end up rooting for her and for this odd romance [with Dexter]."
