From what I understand the following made it on the air from a caller

Q]'Ever bang a famous n***** chick? What do they smell like? Watermelons?
That's not offensive, it's just stupid. This is gonna be fun.

Considering most black people find the n word offensive. And then throw in a stereotype about watermelons.=. Im certain there are plenty of people offended by the comment.[/quote]Of course it's offensive, but it's not unexpected for the Stern show. I find joking about racial stereotypes breaks them all down. Call me a cracker all you want, I don't care.

Clearchannel is kissing FTC ass for political reasons, probably because of the Janet's boob debacle. Her boob ignites a firestorm of "clean the tv/radio up" b.s. from conservatives, the same ones that bring you the "don't let gays marry" and "abortions are bad." These are the types that are against the teaching of evolution in public schools, too.

It is the trend that is offensive, and not this particular reaction by clearchannel.

Um, the show has 5 or 6 delays on it- it's never been cleaner. Indeed, Stern is up in arms about censorship.

I listened to the entire show, I didn't hear any bad words. This is too much, time to get the republicans out of office.

Why do you think he left WAAAAABC in ny? Bunch of retarduplicans. Hannity (from faux news) is their like premier jock. what a tool. I don't enjoy howards show much (he talks bs mostly) but his outrage over censorship and delays really piss him off

When was Stern on WABC?

Whew, 97.1 FM isn't a Clear Channel station. (Los Angeles)

Though I like to punch out Clear Channel for playing Hey Ya! to death on 102.7 FM (Los Angeles)

He didn't. Hannity is an ABC guy, as is Rush Limbaugh.

When was Stern on WABC?

Way back in the 80's. Was his first gig in ny ( I remember it because I was like 15-16 at the time his movie came out and my friends and I were excited to learn that porn actresses were in the movie.)

I don't like the guy, but the chicks in that movie were HAWWT... man I feel old... and shameful :(

Thanks for the correction guys.. sorry dude.. I guess it was NNNNNNBC..

Yeah really....some people can say "haha" and "woot" and huzzah all they want. But this super-strict censoring affects more than just Howard Stern. Here in Orlando even the "Monsters of the Mid-day" show was talking about how they feel like they have to watch themselves now 'cause they did get yelled at.....and they're not even remotely offensive!

Also sucks for me 'cause, love 'im or hate 'im, listening to Stern was more entertaining than the rest of the ultra-crap in the airwaves.

apparently the head honcho is the same one that owns CBS or something and since he had to get flamed for janet's stunt he went across the line on eveything and cut out anything that may be offensive and get people up in arms....thanks janet!!:( :p

personally i think its getting ridiculous

The pulled Ralph Sex U? That sucks. That bit was fairly funny. Oh well, good to know that he's still on in LA and that the stations I listen to are not CC.

I will say that this cencorship bullcrap makes me ashamed to be a Republican. Don't get me started on how they oppose gay marriage.

I never regularly listened to Stern, but when I did, I had a few laughs. Everyone knows the reason his ratings are (were??) so high was because he was anti-norm. He did what he wanted, and anyone who listened to the show knew that. If you didn't want to here things about sex, racism, anything "real" then you shouldn't have been listening to the show. I do agree that the censoring and delay of his show is really unfair though.

Couldn't agree more. Thank god WCCC isn't owned by CrapChannel. This country is regressing, instead of going forward. What's with all this censorship all of a sudden? I'm really thinking it's time to invest in Satellite radio. Oh wait, maybe the FCC will think they can censor that as well. Noting pisses me off more than Government telling me what's good for me to watch, listen to, or be entertained by.
