If it's made with the G2 body, then yes, you could.

After a day of classes using this pen, IMO it's not worth it. The writing quality is subpar to most other pens I use.

I highly recommend the "Delta Elite" which Staples carries. Much smoother IMO and only $5 for 2.

From the link on the side of the pen hack page, this place has the Mont Blanc refills for $6.oo: Mont Blanc refill

I haven't checked any further for better prices. My cutoff price for pens is $1, I lose them too often.

I'm surpised noone's mentioned the Home Depot light saber, or homemade smoke bomb or homemade gateway firewall.

That site seems to be a gadgeteer's heaven.

That would end up pricier than office depot.
Mont Blac come in 2 pack the ones you buy from office depot or staples.

You can purchase plenty of cheap pens that look like Mont Blanc that writes like sh!t.
The quality sucks. The writing isn't smooth.

The best pens I see around that are smooth and good are Pharmaceutical Promotional pens.
In regards to free pens.

G2's are nice, I have never used a Mont Blanc so I can't say how good they are, but I own several cross pens and they write pretty good

Those G2's are good valued pens, but my only complaint about is the gel ink -- smears like a mofo on anything glossier than copy paper. :(

I'll have to look into this.

Yeah, but wouldn't you effectively be using your own hand as a heatsink? :(

Local Office Depot didn't carry G2 Pro, has anyone found it online for cheap shipping?

this is very cool- i always liked smooth writing pens.

My only question is why couldn't the author simply summarized it by saying to get a mont blanc refil, a g2 pen, and clip off the excess of the MB refill to match the size of the g2 refill. It took me longer to flip through all the pages then it did to actually put it together.

I tried this out today using Medium Point rollerball refills. The G2pro certainly feels a bit better now. I also had another pen lying around that had a similar style cartridge (a fancier pen, unknown, freebie from somewhere) that I used the second refill on. I used a Box Cutter to slice off the plastic ends (scissors didn't get it close enough to work right).

Anyway, quoted the above, as it's certainly not perfect, but, now I have two nice pens for ~$14 in parts. For home office use, I guess it's a good deal, until the wife steals it or I lose it I guess, then I'll have to try one of the better for less options I s'pose.

FYI, there's some kind of rebate on the G2Pro at Target, $3.50 - $1.50 (Plus $.39c stamp).

Wish I could get these to fit into my Uni-ball Signo.... they aren't as cheap as the G2's look and feel.

I don't know what so big deal about this? When I was child, my uncle gave me a Parker pen (which is supposed to be very costly pen in India) and after exhausting original refill, I hardly had any money to buy new Parker refill, so in fact I found another refill which closely matched the original one! And I used same pen with after-market refill for next couple of school years....I did this when I was like 10-11 years old.... :)

Remember for expensive pens there are always aftermarket refill and vice versa!

i used the pilot dr. grip gel pen, since the pilot dr. grip gel pen uses the same refill as G2 pen, therefore the mont blanc refill fit the pilot dr. grip gel pen.
