Through some quirk of college recruiting, I would up interviewing for a summer internship with Cisco which I hadn?t actually applied for and didn?t know much about. It turned out that the job was rather outside my area of academic and professional focus, and when I was offered the position I made the decision to turn it down.

She needs to retake English 101 or use spell check.

Because of one letter being off?

Someone should start Twittering about how much he hates his new job at Cisco and how many problems he has with his boss Tim and see how long it takes for Tim to take the bait.

better yet, someone should start something that sound like a google internal feud. it should get pick up quickly.

I don't get it. There were 3 posts total. And all she said was that she has to decide if she will take a good paying job that has a horrible commute. What is so bad here?
Why would you hire somebody who is going to hate what they do?

So what, she's a dime a dozen college grad with mediocre , join the vast pool of others out there in the same boat. She really doesn't stand out from the tens of thousands of others with "credentials" comparable to hers. Good grades and a bunch of college project fluff definitely doesn't prepare you for common sense. Maybe she can use her powers of "female persuasion" to work her way into and up in the job market, it works for many others. More than likely she will end up jobless like so many others or decide to continue her career of life-long academic.

She's far from an "internet sensation" and more an attention starved ditz that will receive 15 second of fame on the internet and no job.
Good for her.

There'd be no janitors! Anyways, I think it has more to do with work attitude than anything else.

Her comments indicate an arrogance which doesn't appear to be deserved from the resume. Maybe she got some good grades and thinks this correlates to how well a person will do in a job. It doesn't correlate well at all - in fact, it is sometimes inversely proportional.

The fact that she published this to the world apparently without a thought to the ramifications indicates a higher than normal level of naiveté.

The fact that she tried to blame others for her fuck up indicates a level of immaturity.

I've been through 1000s of resumes and one of the quickest ways into the trashcan is to start listing, without qualification, names such a java, sql, excel, powerpoint, ...

She's barely out of school with little to no real world experience. She obviously expects much more than she's worth. At this stage, she's worth very little given the state of the employment market.
