How to piss off the wife in one easy step.

What was supposed to be a family vacation to go visit friends gets put off because of finances.

A brief synopsis of what transpires over the last couple weeks:
Her - "So when CAN we go?"
Me - "I have no idea, we have money going to bills out the ass."
Her - "What else is new. Does that mean we're not going?"
Me - "I have no idea."
Her - "Fine, we won't go then."

Fast forward to today:
Her - "So since we're not going, is there any way that I can go?"
Me - "Sure. Fine."
Her - "When can I go?"
Me - "Next paycheck at the earliest."
Her - "So let me as you this... how is it that we can afford for me to go, but we all can't go as a family?"
Me - "Because I'm tired of hearing about it because you won't just let it go."
Her - "Gee... thanks."

Cliffs:
There are no cliffs, other than the ones you jump off of.

Her - "So let me as you this... how is it that we can afford for me to go, but we all can't go as a family?"

Not great with numbers is she?

Tell wifey wife to get a jobby job and then maybe you'll let her go on a trip. Until then you control the money and say what it is to be used for.

OP has 4 kids. Unless she's making like 60k+ a year it's not worth working to cover that daycare tab.

This + stance of dominance = win

I feel your pain brah. Just went through this a few weeks ago. Though we did manage to go on a vacation, my wallet is feeling it now.

It really is amazing how few people understand this concept.

unfortunately vi is right. daycare would be a motherf*cker with four kids. I pay 800 alone for one kid. multiply by 4 and ..... ugh

How the hell are we supposed to know how many kids you have?

And that's were the logic is that if you can't afford them, don't have them. Not saying that the OP can't afford them, but it appears like he is having trouble keeping his finances in line.

Oh, and :camera:s for the second time.

I've only posted probably a couple dozen times recently that I feed a family of 6. Check out any of my cooking threads lately.

Yeah, money issues are one of the leading cuases of divorce, right up there with adultery. Somehow you just have to work your way through these things if you can.

Maybe you should sit down with your wife and go over the budget and prioritize what each of you think is important. I know that helped me and the wife out.

Sounds like you found a real winner there champ
You guys are on the same page and a perfect match for each other.

OK tell wife to get a job at a Daycare. Get money for watching your kids plus others.

My SiL did this for a while and even after leaving for another job still gets a discount.
