You're welcome, MichaelD, even though I figure I was just a good cover for you and your problems with the other ladies.
Really though, if you were just talking about stuffing, then what I suggested earlier is a good idea since it's a problem of the mind.
However, if you want just more than that, then people have already made the suggestion. God, I drink soooooooooooo much water, it's not even funny. I don't do it on purpose to fill my belly. I just happen to like water and it does the body good.

But when you drink so much water, your stomach gets full faster. (Argh! I use the bathroom so much because of this. It's sometimes embarrassing when I go out drink so much water and have to excuse myself more than I would like to.) I tend to drink the water before or after eating (not whilst), though. You will get hungry again quite soon, though. So that isn't enough to use it as something to help yourself with your bad habit. The other thing I tend to do is break a full meal into about four places (imaginary). I eat until I'm satisfied, and it usually means very little for me. You have a bigger stomach I suppose, so what's appropriate for you would be different. Anyway, so a few hours later I get hungry. Then I go back and eat again just as much as earlier.
Lastly, do eat slowly. My family members eat quite fast. I'm the slowest eater, and I so happen to be the leanest.

I can't get myself to rush my food. I take my time to chew. Fast eaters don't tend to chew well. And then your stomach can't digest the food well. All of these comes natural for me. It's not something that I plan and consciously do. However, I do make the observations sometimes. For someone trying to start, be observant of your habits and take each step to remedy the situation. Then it will become a part of you and you won't be all worried. And trust me, I can stuff my stomach too, for instance on thanksgiving. But the urge to do that everyday is absent. And I have pretty fast metabolism.
Hope it works for you.
