Bit of oberservation.

Everything you've described means she hasn't grown up yet and maybe she never will. Definately not marriage material. I'm guessing she's probably in mid/late 20s?

24 ...

that explains it then.

do what you gotta do, but a woman at age 24 is very rare.

My current girlfriend is 23, going on 30. Very mature for her age. Pays all her bills on time, cares about family and friends. Cares about her actions and how they affect other people. And I can't forget to mention she's a Victoria Secret and Lerner model all wrapped in one. I'm in heaven ;)

wanna trade?

I don't think so ;)

And as far as popping the question. I love her and she loves me but right now isn't the time to start talking about marriage...but in due time i'm sure we'll be married.

BTW..she's the one in the middle. That's me on the left..I hate that pic.

She looks like she cheated on you. Twice.

And loved it.

First, try growing a pair. It's your relationship, you figure it out. If that doesn't work, show her this thread and remind her that you're so pathetic that you have to ask strangers on the internet how to handle your significant other. Guaranteed she'll find someone better.

? This picture was before her and I got together and no, she wouldn't cheat on me. Don't judge a book by it's cover. She's a very devoted person to her family, friends, job, and me as I am to her. But thank you for your snide comment.

... ummm because I'm looking for a way to do it with the minimum possible stress for her. It's gonna be bad, but I want the best way to do it. I'm sure others have gone thru the same thing and might have a way to help me out. Yeah, I can just send her an e-mail that I wanna break up with her and be done with it, but I'm not a jerk. I don't think asking for advice is a bad thing ... /shrug

There is no easy way to do it. Just sit down, and talk with her. Breaking up is not suppose to be fun or painless. Do it ASAP and she will be able to get over you that much faster.

Send her a telegram reading the following:

DEAR GIRLFRIEND *STOP*
REGARDING OUR RELATIONSHIP *STOP*

Ask advice from men in your family or adult friends of yours, not strangers on the internet. Advice is a good thing. You need to find a better place to seek it.

Better yet, grow a pair of your own and talk to HER about it. Seems like you've got communication problems. Could be one of the reasons you're not happy in that situation.

Call her and leave a voicemail that says "DUMPED."

maybe make her a custom ytmnd saying "dumped"? :p

can't do that, 3 years is a long time - I still care about her

"like a bandaid.... RIGHT OFFFF!!"

seriously though, i was in the same situation 4 months ago (4.5 yr relationship). I just went to her place and said i wanted to talk, and just said "i want to break up". no beating around the bush or nothin. i was over there for about 15 minutes, then i left. that was that. my reasons for breaking up were the same as yours btw.

Talk to her respectfully. Tell her she'll always be a part of you.

That'll make it worse. That might make her think there's a chance for something in the future.

Non-serious answer

Serious answer: there is no easy way to do it. If she wants reasons, give her short and honest reasons about why you're doing it. Let her know that you had a shift in your thinking - that you considered marriage and what you want in a lifetime partner, and give her some examples of why she isn't it.

I agree with Nik's assessment of this situation.

But if you are looking for advice... I bet her mom is hot too. ;)

ask for stranger and stranger sexual requests and then break up with her when she refuses.

pros: you get the break up you wanted.
cons: you get amazing, strange sex.

Win/Win!

I would try this with my GF but there is no limit to what she would do for me if I asked. But on the other hand I am not trying to break up with her, lol. ;)

Suddenly disappear, like went walking a dog, but never came back. She will miss you for couple week and then get married other guy. I did something like that couple times and it worked like a charm.

More like you went to the store one day, came back, and she was with another guy?

Invite her to a romantic dinner. Then buy a fancy little box that looks like a ringer holder. During dinner get down on one knee and tell her that you a hve something to hell her and give her the box. When she opens the box there is a note inside that says "Lets break up!"
