If you're from Flint, Michigan or central Kansas or a large swath of the red states and you don't want to work for low wages in the only factory in town you almost have to join the military. My background? I graduated near the top of my class from an Eastern university with double majors in biochemistry and philosophy. I am currently in the process of deciding whether to go to medical or law school. I have a few other Masters degrees. On my MCAT, the SAT for doctors, I did better than 95% of the people. None of this is pertinent to the discussion.

Quite frankly, I'm not an expert on sending in standaridzed test scores. After I scored a perfect on the SAT, I sent it to colleges. Did my 1570 go to them as well? Maybe so. Do I care about that now? No.
