Again, eye colour is linked to several genes, all your calculations are inaccurate.

Inaccurate, but close enough to the way it statistically occurs for it to not matter.

From my understanding, blue eyes and blond hair are weak genes, and will cease to exist in the not too distant future.

I have dark brown eyes, BTW.

This is a true story. My boy is black and so is his wife. Both of their parents and grandparents on both sides are black. But guess what, his son was born with Green Eyes and Blond Hair (yes you read that correctly). Good looking guy though. He just has silky blond hair and green eyes. And yes his pop did confirm 🙂 that it is his son. He looks just like his father save the eye color and hair color. No doubt where those traits came from.

Since 2 blue eyed cacausians cannot have a brown eyed child and 2 brown eye parents can have a blue eyed child, even though blue eyes are recessive, it is rare to meet a caucasian with brown eyes. Poll is for caucasians only please.

You better shut up or I'll give you two black eyes!!! :|

yeah WTF are you talking about. I think brown is the dominant color if i'm not mistaken

Brown is dominant but since 2 blue eyed parents cannot have a brown eyed child and 2 brown eye parents can have a blue eyed child it seems to make brown eyes rarer.

think before posting.

2 blue eyed parents cannot have a brown eyed child

2 brown eyed parents cannot have a blue eyed child

HOWEVER

because brown is dominant a:

mix of blue eyed and brown eyed parents will usually end up with brown eyed children.

so, even if you started out with more blue eyed people in any given population, over time you will end up with more brown eyed people than blue eyed people.

Blue eyed parent + Blue eyed parent = 100% blue eyed child/0% brown eyed child
Brown eyed parent + Blue eyed parent = 50% blue eyed child/50% brown eyed child
Brown eyed parent + Brown eyed parent = 25% blue/75% brown eyed child

But like many others have stated there are other factors determing eye color.

What I originally meant was that since blue eyed parents cant have brown eyed children but brown eyed parents can have blue eyed children, it would seem that blue eyes would be more common.

WTF are you talking about? Damn near every caucasian I know has brown eyes. Every girl I've ever dated has been white with brown eyes. I'm white and have brown eyes. Both my parents are. My brother is the same.

They are not weak genes, they are recessive genes. Not sure about hair though.

Eye color does not follow mendelian genetics

White boy. Brown eyes.

I think at least.. What is the diff between hazel and brown? (I am a guy)

i always thought hazel was on the greenish side of blue

I think there are different variations of hazel itself. From light brown to shades of green and blue.

it absolutely is. to be caucasion with blue eyes is rapidly becoming rare. light hair/light eyes are recessive.

I put hazel (which IMO is in-between brown & green), my eye color actually varies between a dark brown, green, and in-between shades depending on environmental & mood factors.
