Technically, I get paid every week.
I'm salaried & my paycheck is printed automatically every Monday morning.
In reality, sometimes I get so busy, I may go 2-3 weeks before visiting the main office to pick them up!

isn't twice a month and every 2 weeks pretty much the same thing? unless they get paid on something like the 1st and 29th, which makes it twice a month but not every two weeks(highly unlikely pay schedule)

Getting paid every other weeks gives you 26 pay cycles per year, twice a month is 24. So with every other week you have 2 months where you get 3 paychecks.

Yes. But there is more to it. If you are paid every 2 weeks, there are some years in which there are 27 pay cycles (a year is more than 52 weeks). If you earn $50,000/year spread over 26 pay cycles you get $1923/paycheck. But in the years with 27 pay cycles, you get $1852/paycheck. In both years you earn $50,000 but in that unusual year with 27 pay cycles it FEELS like you are making a lot less per paycheck. $70+ per paycheck gone for an entire year straight hurts.

Thus, twice a month is a far better method of being paid even if you make the same amount of money as someone getting paid every other week.

15th and 30th of every month, unless the day falls on a saturday/sunday/holiday, in which case we get payed the friday before (or the last non-holiday/weekend day before the holiday).

Every Friday. It's pretty convenient but unnecessary IMO.

Every other job I've had has been bi-weekly.
