Yes. But there is more to it. If you are paid every 2 weeks, there are some years in which there are 27 pay cycles (a year is more than 52 weeks). If you earn $50,000/year spread over 26 pay cycles you get $1923/paycheck. But in the years with 27 pay cycles, you get $1852/paycheck. In both years you earn $50,000 but in that unusual year with 27 pay cycles it FEELS like you are making a lot less per paycheck. $70+ per paycheck gone for an entire year straight hurts.Originally posted by: jiggahertz

Getting paid every other weeks gives you 26 pay cycles per year, twice a month is 24. So with every other week you have 2 months where you get 3 paychecks.
