How often do you actually drive fast?

Like, really?

Assuming you even can. I understand if you can't if you have to go through all very clogged up traffic on your commutes.

I don't see the point in having a car that is fast if you don't drive it fast. :/ May as well get a Prius.

Do you even have a driver's license?

100% of the time? I drive an average of 15-20 thousand miles a year and perhaps for about 50 of those (highway) miles will I actually drive at or under the posted limit. Local is obviously different because it's impossible to drive fast when there is traffic and lights.

This property czar thread has P&N written all over it.

I drive fast as often as I can get away with, but I enjoy getting my lungs and kidneys crushed by the lumbar support in my seat back every time I accelerate, even if the speed limit is only 25.

Blower whine and boost gauges are addiciting.

I don't mean just over the speed limit by like 5-10mph. I mean like 20mph(If it's 65, you're going 85<. If it's 25, you'll go 45<) over when it's possible.

Define fast, is over the speed limit fast, over 100mph, just going through corners fast enough to knock the cup out of your drink holder??? I generally drive at or just slightly above the speed limit, but I do take on/off ramps fast enough to feel some G's, I get close to redline in 1st and 2nd gear (redline is ~25mph in 1st gear in my car) and I do occasionally get a little sideways on gravel roads. You don't need a fast car to have fun, despite what people may tell you, but having a fun car makes fast a whole lot better.

If that's your definition I speed at least once a day...I have to drive through a section of downtown on the interstate where for no reason (they say it's for "safety," I think it's for ticket revenue although they never patrol it) the speed limit drops from 60 to 50 and no one goes under 65, most closer to 75.

Now if you mean just getting out there and letting the WRX do it's thing I do it every once in a while.

I drove a bright yellow car for the last 2½ years - My visibility was so high that I was scared shitless to do anything more than 10MPH over the speed limit. Now that my car is black, I kind of let it loose more, but the cars still a cop magnet so I keep myself in check.

I've gotten 0 tickets and I've even gone 95 right up to a police motorcycle... :)

White car supremacy possibly?

Highest over the speed limit I've gone is about 65-70mph, which for a stock economy car... ain't too bad...

And I drive fast almost all the time. Car seems to be pretty reliable even though it is being hammered a lot by my foot...

65-70 over the speed limit? lol man..

Getting on highways, when I am alone on a on ramp, off ramp, Alone on turns.. yea I will get some G's going but when there are other people near me I don't.

You can get a prius if you want, I would never drive such a thing.

Happens quite a lot.
Though I live in Germany, so speeding isn't that expensive (at least up to 20km/h first point you'll get with 21 km/h and at 31km/h (or 2x over 25km/h) you'll be on foot for a month), and if you're not in town and there is no sign, you can drive up to 100km/h...

And there is the Autobahn :D

100km/h is still 62mph. :/

So your saying you got up to around 100mph or more, in an economy car, in a 30-45 mph zone? If so..wow, what a dumbass.

Extremely rarely. It's pretty much only acceleration on the on ramp to the freeway. I don't feel like getting my car crushed.
