I'm at that point in my career where I can take as long as I want as long as my work gets done. Some days it's 10 minutes, some days it's 2 hours.
 
I was never told how long ... sometimes I eat at my desk, sometimes I am out for 1-2 hours...neither have been a problem!

I'm self employed, so there is no set time limit, but if I'm not working I'm not earning. Generally I take whatever time I need to eat then go back to work.
