Oh sorry to hijack your thread but I have a Loan/Credit Q that ties in.

I haven't checked my credit, but is it possible to have bad credit because of how much I have out in loans? Cause I've been trying to get a CC but get denied...could that be from my lack of credit besides the loans?

Ok back to your thread :)

Your income/loan ratio is definitely a factor. Make sure you make monthly payments on time. late payments will show up in your credit report.

a tuba costs that much?!?!

wow

For as large as my tuba is, it's considered a "value" at $10000 + tax. It could've been up to double that. My small tuba was $5400 but I mananged to pay for that with the money I saved by getting a full tuition scholarship.

Ok what is a tuba? and why are they so expensive?

MORON!

a tuba is a musical instrument. you need to go back to 1st grade.

this is like someone asking what a piano or a violin are

Over 500k for my two pieces of property. CC are usually paid in full everymonth. Two cars are fully paid off and we have no student loans. Do I worry about owing this much? Nah, but I expect my kids will probably not have to work because it is a investment towards their future...

$50K mortgage
$20K car
$3.5K credit card/asst financing (furnature, electronics, etc)

So, about $73500. Our household income is about $86000, so we're not too bad. Problem is we're going to dump $200K on a new house in the next couple of years, then I'm going to get me a new RX-8, so that'll blow the whole "keep your debt under a years worth of salary" concept :)

Car: $4936 (Not bad if I can say so myself--I bought it about a year ago for $9500 with $8,000+ borrowed on a 60 month loan. The 60 month loan was a "just in case" move so my minimum payment would be lower, you know, just in case, but I've paid at least double the minimum every month so far.)

Credit Card: Balance = $524, but it's been paid off every month for the last year. (Interest paid to date this year=$0.00!) It will be paid off next month as well.

Student Loans: $11,000 or so. (I'm trying to avoid taking on much more even though I'm finally buckling down and starting to finish my education.)

$2k for car
$1k in credit
$174k for house

$177k total.... But in reality my house appraises for $215k, so I actually have no debt when you total in net worth.

Eh, pretty deep. Mortgage, truck loan, credit cards, tractor loan, student loans. Probably 25k in the hole for net worth.

dude paying your CC bill online takes 2.3 seconds.

lol, not on dial-up.
