Me:

20k for 2 cars
35k for home
3.5k for lines of credit

58.5k To have everything paid off.

Have really thought about asking my parents to let me borrow the money to pay everything off and pay them 1,000 a month for the next 5 years. Hopefully interest free.

Then I could retire or work a part time job at the mall.

about $6k left on my car
no mortgage, I live at home during work term, and in an apartment at school during school term
no credit card debt, cause that's dumb
student loans so far: $20k

Total? $26k give or take, but I have 2 years left of school :(

0 in debt, I stopped using credit cards too because it was too much of a hassle to write a check at the end of every month, now I just use my debit card and run it as credit if they don't accept debit, its so much easier!

Paid off one CC today so about 1100 on the other CC and that's it. No student loans, truck paid for and no mortgage yet.

The love of money (greed) is the root of all evil. ;)

I'm about 33K in debt counting my student loan, car, and credit cards.

I'm a college student - I owe about $10k on my Scion xB - that's it. I've almost got $10k saved up, and I think I'm going to pay if off soon. I financed it at 3.9%, so it won't kill me to just keep paying the payment, but I don't like the idea of so much debt looming over my head... :) I dont' mess around with credit cards, I try to only buy things that I can afford.

Other than that - thank God for scholarships, or I'd be like the rest of you chumps :p HAHA - j/k:)

About 15k all of it loans.

Oh sorry to hijack your thread but I have a Loan/Credit Q that ties in.

I haven't checked my credit, but is it possible to have bad credit because of how much I have out in loans? Cause I've been trying to get a CC but get denied...could that be from my lack of credit besides the loans?

Ok back to your thread :)

I hate having to rely on money, so thats why I'm thinking about doing it.

The whole point of using CC is making them pay you 1-5% of your spending and pay off your balance every month. ;)

Heh, I dunno, I had a card when I was 16-18 and they used to charge me like $50 for going over the limit, even though I had the cash and paid on time they charged me, its like wtf? Now I just use my debit card, which has a daily limit of $5000, which is MUCH more reasonable than 1500 in a MONTH.

Well first of all, all the inquiries from applying for credit cards will hurt. Also with how much you have out in loans compared to how much your income is.
