I paid $17,800 for my 1999 Mustang GT. It was 1 year old when I bought it in 2000 with 13k miles. New would have been around $25k. Somebody else can eat that initial depreciation, I'll take it from there.

Upgraded wheels for $175x4 for 18x9 and 18x10 hypersilver Saleen replica wheels. The bigger tires are now around $200 a piece. Love them though, one of the best purchases I ever made. Totally changes the look of the car and gives a little more grip in the corners.

Upgraded the suspension when the shocks and struts wore out. Eibach Pro Plus kit with shocks, struts, springs and sway bars was $850. My advice, never get a bigger sway bar on a live axle car. I'm thinking of going back to the original sway bars.

Upgraded the stereo to an Alpine head unit that plays MP3s and new Polk Audio speakers all around. ~$450 or so.

I've got a factory grill delete kit from a Mach 1 and factory smoke headlights from newer Mustangs waiting to be installed now. ~$180 with shipping.

Upgraded the brake pads to Hawk HPS at one point when it needed new pads anyway. ~$80

Repairs:
Intake manifold was replaced under a factory recall at about 80k. They had a plastic intake manifold. It was replaced with a plastic/aluminum piece.

A spark plug roasted itself when a stupid mechanic installed in incorrectly.

That's it, the rest is standard maintenance. Synthetic oil and all that stuff.

I'm up to around 115k miles, and it's still running strong.

$200 (don't remember but it was < $1000) 1968 Chrysler wagon. Dad picked it up to gank the 440 but the car was too good to junk without an engine so I drove it when I needed a car and sold it was sold whole and running when it was no longer needed.

$ 9,500 95 camry 5 speed (was that hard to find...) first car all my own doing and still my 'beater' with 150k miles

$27,000 03 cobra convertible with dark shadow gray, got tired of being challenged by minivans and buses at every stop...

$24,300 03 cobra coupe mineral gray, selling the convertible, time to get serious with a proper hard top and trade 'image' for 'pureness'

Typically buy my cars used, stock, and taken care of with around 30k miles.
