Yahoo Visa: 0
MBNA: 10.5K
Citibank: 0
Discover: 0

MBNA is 0% APR until August 2003. Used the credit card to buy savings bonds. hehehe :D

For the longest time, I was puzzled why everyone had such strong feelings about credit cards, until I realized that people used them as credit cards, ie. to get money they didn't have. I guess because I had always thought of them and used them as a substitute for paying cash that I had (and I still do), it never occurred to me that they were anything different than writing a check from your bank.

Now, I see that credit card debt, and debt in general is crushing our society. This is a serious problem.

I also have heard that because so many people are taking out home equity loans (and some are even using credit cards to pay the debt on those!), there is an impending real estate crisis in this country.

If you count car loans then roughly 23K :(

If its just credit cards. I have roughly $1,300 on it. I have the funds waiting in my checking account to pay it off though. Last i checked it was at $4000+ dollars.

Same. My debt is usually 0, but this month it is 1500, but will be paying it off in full.

~ $7000. But that is largely a function of prolonged unemployment / underemployment.

Should be paid off by March :)
