I'm self-employed, so no paid time off; however, the company still runs without me, so I still draw an income. I generally take off a month or so a year, sometimes more. This year it will be about a month.

I get 13 holidays, 12 sick days, and 22.5 vacation days per year. This year I have to take about half of December off to keep from losing vacation days. We are allowed to carry over a max of 30 days vacation time.

Damn, I'm so jealous. Working for small companies has benefits, but when it comes to vacations and holidays, they suck.

10 vacation days
5 sick days
10 holidays

I rarely take sick leave. I average about 2 days a year.

In the past I would roll over 40 hours of vacation every year and use the rest. A change in policy no longer allows us to roll vacation so I use it all.

Where I work, you have to work 1 year to get 1 weeks vacation. 2 years gets you 2 weeks vacation, and 3 years gets you 3 weeks vacation. That's where it maxes out.

120 hours of annual leave
94 hours of lieu leave (same thing as annual but from statutory holidays useable anytime)
72 hours of special comp time (not REAL leave, it cant create overtime)
112.5 hours of sick leave (only 10 shifts a year allowed without doctors note, and no more than 5 shifts in a row)
37.5 hours of family leave
And overtime you can choose to take the shift as leave, which gives you 12 hours a shift of leave. or 16 hours if its your second OT shift in a week, double time.
then you have marriage leave, special leave, etc.

37.5 hour work week.
8 hour shifts

21 days VAC
2 days FH
And holidays. Not sure how many, thought I work many of them. I usually only take 10 days of VAC per year and very little holidays. Do you think i'm overworked? Seriously.
