How many vacation days do you get in a year?

Just got offered a new position, which will give me 25 days of "holiday" as these people like to call it :Q

It'll be for a site that I'm sure a lot of you techie guys have known for a while, PM me if you want more details..or try to guess given the clues in this post.

13 PTO days this year. i'm carrying over at least 10 so worst case I will have 23 at the start of the year

6 days paid vacation, New Years, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas.

20 days paid vacation. (It helps to work for a large Corporation for over 17 years)

3 days Personal Time

= 29 days

Oh yeah, I'm not counting 6 months+ of paid sick leave which I have very rarely taken.

15 days paid vaca, 2 "floating" holidays, 9 stat holidays.

Every 5 years here you get another 5 days vacation.

This reminds me... I have to book some time off for the holidays.

6 years but in Belgium the number of days are defined by law

if you work full time you have a minimum of 20 days, most companies add some extra days.
I think the average Belgian worker has around 26 days paid holiday

In my company it's 26 days + 13 compensation days because I work 40 hours in a 38 hour work week, so actually it's 39 days this year 😛

Total=39 Days of Holiday/Vacation

24 Days vacation and approximately 15 more of holiday pay=2 at new year's, MLKing day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, 2 for 4th of July, Labor Day, 2 for Thanksgiving and 5 days for Christmas.

As much as I want!
Self-employment FTW.

Of course that means that I'm working whenever I'm on vacation.
The freedom is great, but the lack of security is sometimes scary.

I earn 4 hrs of annual and 4 hrs of sick leave every 2 weeks, so roughly 12 8hr days of each a year, plus federal holidays. I only work about 25 hrs a week though.

Do you work for General Dynamics?

Because that's exactly what I get....

10 sick days per year
2 floating holidays
11 regular holidays (christmas, thanksgiving etc..)

Total: approx 8 weeks (all time is paid off time)

Geez, what do you do and how long have you been w/ the company?

I get 3 weeks per year standard PTO
0 sick days
1 floating holiday
10 regular holidays

we get two weeks vacation a year.

I always use all of it... I typically take a week off in the spring and then use the rest of the days scattered throughout the year for some long weekends.

I work for a major financial software company. I've been in the company for 7 years. I also neglected to mention that I get 3 days of volunteer work PTO.

I get 14 days vacation, 10 holidays, 4 sick days, and thus far I have built 13 more days in comp time in the last 5 months.

So... 41

**edit** one more and I would have the answer to life, the universe, and everything!

The pay isn't that great, but well worth it in benefits. 😀
