You work on a cruise ship. Every day's a vacation, right? :) I kid, I kid, I've been on several cruises and the staff works their tails off.

I get 25 PTO plus 7 company holidays in 2007. Up from 2006's 7 holidays, 15 PTO, 2 floating holidays, and 5 sick days. I like PTO's so much better than sick/floating. Plus we removed our restriction of a max of 2 weeks accumulation of PTO, and can roll it over now. One thing I can say about our company, they tend to make positive changes when employees request it.

I'm maxed out at 15 vacation days.
1st day of deer season & Good Friday are "floating" holidays(use them on that day or whenever you want)
6 paid holidays
Can't carry over any vacation from 1 year to the next

Paid days the company gives us..

Memorial day, 4th of July, Labor day, Thanksgiving and day after, Dec 22nd- Jan 2nd..

So that's 12 so far..

Vacation is paid out by years of service. 0-5 years gets 2 weeks ,5-10 gets about 2 1/2 ,10-15 gets about 3 weeks ,15-20 gets about 3 1/2, 20 years + is about 4 weeks. The ratio at which the vacation hours is earned drops every 5 years worked.

Plus as you work O/T you also can earn vacation.

I have 19 years here and get my vacation in Jan. I have work an extra 190 hours of O/T so I should get about 160 hours of vacation plus my 40 hours of S/L

So all together that's about 37 days give or take...
