Prolly more than a dozen times. Many were for work, the rest were to report accident/fire/theft/fight, ect. I use 911 as the secretary for the police fire and EMT's. It has to really be non-urgent for me to look up the non-emergency number.

I was playing with the thing and it had something that said "notruf" ... it didn't occur to me to look it up, I just figured I'd click the button to see what it did, I figured with no sim card in the thing yet it wouldn't do anything anyway. Oops. Notruf of course is German for "emergency call" so the thing dialed 911. I tried to explain to the operator that I called by mistake, but he thought I was being kidnapped or something and kept saying things like "if there is someone within earshot threatening you or if you are in danger, just say "no, everything is fine tonight" etc.

lol, I called 110 once in Germany on a payphone

The payphone didn't have a change slot, just a card reader, so I just saw a number "110" on the phone and dialed it to see if I could reach an operator, and when I heard some stern sounding german guy saying "Polizei" I realized what the number was, and silently hung up the phone and walked away lol. Pretty dumb, but I was 16.

1.
The day my dad drank so much he needed an ambulance.
He actually came up the stairs and told me to do it.

Which is sad, because just one year before he got a DUI and had to go to AA and some other stuff.

3. When we were kids my friend got hit with an onion in the face that was thrown out of a 12th story balcony which bruised him up pretty bad, so we called 911 on assualt charges.

What? how does a kid survive a 12th story fall?

reread that. The kid didn't fall 12 stories, the onion that hit him did.

Did it make him cry?

LOL @ person not understanding my thread.

and ya it made him cry, we were like maybe 10-11 years old. it was a big onion, after that a quarter of his face was completely black and badly bruised, like someone punched him, but even worse. objects thrown out gain mad velocity and mash you. I used to live on the 25 th floor so I know what im talking about, i used to throw x-mas tree's and vacume cleaners out my balcony, fun times, those probably would of killed someone, not that I wanted to kill anyone though.

Honestly, you might be liable for at least 3 deaths. Wow, you're a retarded human being who shouldn't reproduce -- ever.

Naw, all objects were chucked on non windy days with no drafts etc. The vacume cleaner went down straight onto the concrete and burst into a million tiny pieces (it was a plastic hoover). The tree;s just fell onto the pavement, made a thump, and that was it. The stump just left a bit of a mark on the ground, no big deal. Plus I have crazy object throwing experience off high area's, so please do not try this at home, I am a professional.

Once, to report vandalism to my car. No non-emergency hotline here.

Yea I didnt know the freaking non-emergency # and it's not like I keep it on me, so I had to dial 911 only to find the right # to call.

once. stuck in a huge elevator that said "limit 4 people" in big bad red bold letters

i was a group of 10. i just ignored the sign, and said "STUPID!" and told everyone to step in, there's actually still room for other people not in the group

needless to say, i felt stupid.

Ehh, I don't understand. So it' slike a cargo elevator or one of those huge hospital elevators, except it said limit 4 because it was had a weak cable or something? Hahaha... misleading...

exactly. it was a huge elevator, but the sign seemed totally stupid that we ignored it. turns out the joke's on us for not heeding the sign

What would have happened if someone had walked under the cleaner while it was on the way down?

Call once when I was 12 because a dog follow me home, I just had been biten by another dog a few weeks earlier, so I thought this one was coming to finish the job. 911 didn't help :(

Another time my brother had swallow a couple of quarters, it was pretty cool seeing the fire truck, ambulance, and police car show up, because they thought it was a toddler that did the swallowing.

A couple of times at work, once was this lady who had her thumb torn off, another time my boss was opening the doors of a container, got knock out cold by a box that felt out.

Once. My mother was in need of medical assistance and couldn't call herself due to not being able to breathe.
